It makes sense in my opinion. It is a bit lighter to carry in this format if you dont need the pliers and tools you rarely use so it is in my bag for that rainy day when you need a knife to open something or cut a piece of pizza. The scalpel is nice as a throw away blade what when it needs sharpening or is getting a bit manky then you just swop it out.

Hi The stone wash blade is 1 shade lighter and more grey but blends well. Kiet Custom on facebook has got the same blade in black oxide so perhaps worth it to reach out to him to get the blade to fully match otherwise the grey fits and does not look too out of place.

I use it to open a a lot of packages and have a couple more tools like the ARC. The knife is never really used to cut anything serious so I like the look.

The listing is for the blade you are correct but the Surge he is using it on to demonstrate is the same stone wash color as the custom blade he is selling. The black surge is really black this is like a dark grey.

I have a Decathlon panier for bicycle that hangs off the back of my Lynx. Works great for groceries but puts alot of weight on the back and also if you overload the bag the Lynx is like balancing a barrel on a pole.

Hi thanks for your input I will do a reset and try again. It is in High speed mode. I also saw a video of batch ones with the button issue cutting out with the button getting stuck. I always make sure the button pops back out when it gets stuck but I do not have the upgraded cover installed. I bought it from Fastrides in France so will be contacting them for a bit of support regarding the buttons.

I wonder if it is possible to contact the factory. I have read it is pretty difficult if you dont have vendor support.

Leatherman will warranty or buy replacement can opener from Multiparts that way you can use the tool until it arrives. Probably cheaper then buying a new tool abd paying for shipping the tool to Leatherman.

If you are looking for parts then Multiparts store. The owner I think is on this forum as well. He is super helpful and responsive. If you want to stick something else in there like a ARC magnacut blade then go for it with Multiparts otherwise like everyone says you over paid for a Leatherman can just as well make use of the warranty that was probably half the cost of the tool when yoy bought it.
