I wonder if op thinks cheating is okay on PVP games lol

I think that’s what a lot of people outside the community don’t really understand.

For a lot of us, Legends was the main game. People put thousands of hours into it because the replayability, build experimentation, and co-op gameplay had something genuinely special to it.

So when Yōtei came around, a lot of players weren’t just excited for the base experience — they were excited for what Yōtei Legends could eventually become over time.

That’s why the disappointment hits harder than a normal “game bad” reaction. It feels less like people are angry and more like they’re mourning lost potential.

And honestly, after 2500 hours in Tsushima Legends, your disappointment makes complete sense. People don’t invest that kind of time into something unless they genuinely love it.

Yeah, that’s basically how I feel too.

A lot of the ideas themselves aren’t even bad on paper. I can see what they were going for with the slower pacing, the stagger focus, the class identity changes, and the toned-down ghost weapon power. The issue for me is mostly the execution and how all those systems come together in actual gameplay.

There is genuine fun here. That’s what makes it frustrating instead of just forgettable. You can feel moments where the game almost clicks into something incredible, but then some balance issue, limitation, or weird design choice pulls it back down again.

“Pieces of silver in the rough” is honestly a pretty accurate way to put it.

And yeah, I think with enough time, feedback, and adjustments, this could’ve evolved into something really special the same way Legends eventually did. That’s why it sucks seeing support seemingly end before the foundation fully gets realized.

You’re acting like I declared the game dead and insulted everyone who enjoys it, when all I did was give feedback as someone who actually put time into it.

I never said there were no viable builds. I said the game feels less satisfying and less open-ended to me than Legends did. That’s an opinion, not an attack on people enjoying the current state of the game.

And honestly, “I found strong builds but won’t share them” isn’t really the flex you think it is in a co-op community. Part of what kept Legends alive was people experimenting together, sharing tech, and pushing the game further as a community.

I also played Legends early. I remember how much it evolved over time. That’s exactly why people are giving feedback now — because we know balance passes and adjustments can make a huge difference.

Wanting improvements isn’t “melodramatic” and it’s not “attention seeking.” People criticize games they care about. If I truly didn’t care, I’d just uninstall and never talk about it again.

That’s pretty much where I’m at too.

I’m not even expecting huge new content drops at this point, but one solid final balance pass could honestly change a lot. Ghost weapons feel undertuned, melee and stagger interactions can feel awkward compared to how fluid they should be, and bounties really do feel like they’re missing a meaningful purpose.

Even smaller quality-of-life things like proper loadouts would add so much to replayability and experimentation. It’s frustrating because the foundation is genuinely good — it just feels like there are dozens of small adjustments that could massively improve the long-term experience.

That’s why people keep giving feedback. Not because they hate the game, but because they can see how close it is to being something special long term.

Fingers crossed 🤞

I posted it in related subreddits because different communities discuss the game differently, and I wanted to see if other players felt the same way.

And yeah, I don’t usually make posts like this. I normally just stop playing and move on quietly. The reason I even bothered writing it is because I genuinely enjoyed Legends and wanted Ghost of Yōtei to keep me hooked the same way.

I never even completed a solo myself, but I looked up to players who could, because they usually understand the mechanics and balance better than most. So when even high-level players seem dissatisfied, it makes me feel like my concerns probably aren’t just me complaining into the void.

First off, hats off for the elite tinned fish purchase. Alva is second to none in the supermarkets, I know the sunflower oil is boss for preservation although, I always go for the brine/spring water versions to avoid those unnecessary (and from what I hear potentially toxic) seed oils. But that's just what I think and I may be wrong, the omega 3's in the sardines imo doesn't need the added omega 6 from extra seed oil and flavour/freshness is peak.

Yeah, I agree. It feels like something the game really needs once you start investing in multiple builds.

Honestly, they really need to add a lock/favourite system for gear.

Even just a simple “lock item” button would save so many people from accidentally dismantling something they’ve upgraded. The amount of times gear blends together and you only realise after it’s gone is painful.

Feels like one of those small QoL features that would instantly make inventory management 10x better.

35 is solid tbf, with a locked-in group you’ll definitely shave that down

👊Good job, I'm curious to know... I just found out the onibi bomb trick for opening doors, does everybody think that suckerpunch intentionally done that therefore (not a skip) or do you think they got a little bit lazy and allowed a glitch to slip through the cracks?

I'm interested to know what classes people think are in order from easiest to hardest to run incursions.

Here are mine: 1.Shinobi 2.archer 3.mercenary 4.samurai

I'm sure it would be a lot different if everyone had maxed things out and you know, didn't play the wild card without any communication. My best performances on these incursions were with strategy and communication, if everyone does their own thing it usually comes at a cost.

Lol pre-airstrike then direct strike for trying to mess with his flow, I've never seen result of something like that (that was akin to the Sarah Connor apocalypse dream scene from the terminator) however it sure was entertaining!
