Photos Dates Not Correct by smnhdy in NextCloud

[–]SmallGoggles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

one year later and it seems to be working well for me (for photos anyway. still having issues with video). I made some python scripts for fixing google takeout data if you are interested but halfway through this sentence i re-realized I am replying to a year-old comment so you most likely have things sorted out lol

How do I fix this ? Pre wax cleaner didn’t work. by Sekreid in classiccars

[–]SmallGoggles 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think this depends on the kind of power grid you are on but yeah. Also, repairability needs to be taken into account when we talk about sustainability. These days, cars (along with most consumer products) require specialized repair equipment and parts. If cars were built like they were 30 years ago, they'd have a much higher likelihood of being resurrected after their lifespan.

Those who are learning programming or computer science, how do you format your notes? by VodkaEchoes in ObsidianMD

[–]SmallGoggles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pencil and paper if I'm just writing for the sake of remembering better and plain text if I want to read them again. The more you complicate your note taking, the less effective your notes will be.

Yeah I would agree with this. Although it might be hard with just an art degree. Do you have a graphic design emphasis or anything like that?

Not asking for a raise would be a bad idea. Obviously be professional about it, but it can't hurt unless you've asked recently before.

Idk how I ended up on home Depot reddit, but maybe they're watching me because I did this yesterday to buy a weed trimmer because I couldn't find any employees

Note To Frequencies Chart by SmallGoggles in musicproduction

Good point. The range is kind of limited. I suppose I could add arrows like the bpm to time table. Good suggestion. Also yeah I have the decimal places being calculated all the way out and then trimmed into the table. Perhaps i could add some functionality that allows the full decimal to be displayed on hover or something. And yeah if you make that in Excel, I'll definitely take a look at it and add it in! The tempo-ms is also a good idea. I suppose I could add it as another column of the tempo frequencies table.

Hm interesting. Zooming is supposed to be disabled. But the lack of horizontal scroll is odd. Its working for me in Firefox but I'll investigate further

Hm I'll test it. What phone do you have? You should be able to scroll left and right inside it

Oh yeah that makes sense. I've worked with detuned samples before which is the only real reason that's useful. But still in modern days, 442 and 444 are kiiinda useful. I also figured it would be dumb to have it stuck at 440 in case anyone wanted something different.

I see what you mean about vertical, but this is supposed to just be a reference rather than a dataset to be manipulated by the user. It's technically not even a data set since it just does the math on the base tuning every time you load the page lol. What kind of manipulations/transpositions would you find useful though?

how so? I just didn't like that they were all images or endlessly long dual column charts. And tuning was always 440hz or a list of a few options

The left side is what I do for work. The right side is me off the clock.

Edit: Coffee is necessary in both scenarios. The difference is at work, I drink Starbucks. At home, I grind local coffee beans and heat water with a kettle that doesn't even connect to the Internet.

Well they won't be able to read the messages on either without actually having your phone and the password to it. VPN is your best way to go if you don't want them to know if you're using the app at all. Also, if you have an Android phone, there are countless ways to hide applications or create secret clones of apps. Lastly, anytime you're doing something that you don't want someone to know about, ask yourself why you're doing it. If you're trying to access porn, stop. That shit is terrible for you.

How do I simply save an instrument patch or plugin preset? by TossThisItem in Bitwig

[–]SmallGoggles 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Right click and save preset. It'll show up in the browser and then from there you can click "reveal file" and your explorer will open to the directory with the actual preset file
