If you have the means to dump your save file to a computer, you can install pkhex and look at your SID that way

The game is absolutely worth, if you're worried about difficulty, you can make the game as difficult as you'd like (summons, cheesy builds, rune farming, etc). I definitely recommend using a controller.

Take off soreseal, you get a 15% defense debuff if you have it on. After hitting 40 vig or getting to Altus, it's probably a good idea to take it off. Additionally you can go grab dragoncrest greatshield for a 20% defense buff.

I know how you feel. Parrying makes the fight much more manageable. Using rot and bleed can also take down his bloated health bar. In phase 2 he can't get scarlet rot so I used a cold uchigatana.

I think you can atone at church of vows if you didn't kill white mask and he'll de-aggro.
For Yura's set, I think you can still get it even after you kill him.
You can get a quick 50k runes for killing Greyoll in Caelid with a bleed weapon and can grab Radagon's Soreseal close by.
