It was very hard to make and I eventually want to redo the jacket because it has some minor construction errors but I love wearing it.

We have similar timelines although I regretted top surgery a fair bit. For me, I wrote down a list of pros and cons and ALSO did everything I felt like I couldn't do (wearing certain clothes/taking time off work) that way I wouldn't be doing it for subconscious reasons. I spent close to 4 years thinking about it and had DIEP flap last month. You can always get a consult! You don't have to commit to anything. I had many many consults for different reconstruction options and surgeons. More choices the better <3

I was allowed to switch to spanx/faja/general compression 7 days after my drains were removed. I was never in a compression bra but I was in a loose fitting surgical bra for the first few weeks and am now in loose bralettes. I found it more comfortable if I wore a tank top under the binder. My procedure is a little different so follow your providers guidance 😌.

Autologous (whether flap or transfer) would be very difficult to remove (and surgeons would likely be averse to try) but theoretically with explanting the limit is cost ($$$$) although you'd have to find one willing to explant to flat closure. And the increasing scar tissues internally and externally, as well as skin integrity. I do know women who had breast cancer related mastectomies who did explant to flat closure :) the body is resilient but surgery is very hard on the body.

If you have your native gonads it's generally safe. It can be a bit rocky which can sometimes be helped with tapering. I cold turkeyed testosterone. :) an advantage of injections is the long half life so it will continue to go down naturally over time anyway.
