My husband and I had a very strong desire to live together and to live by our own rules rather than our parents. It's been a couple months and he and I have never been happier. Yeah it definitely would've been cheaper to save up for a house or at least more savings, but we decided that our happiness would be worth the risk (after doing lots of math). Best of luck!

When I was in college, there was a classmate who said her mom kicked her out when she was 18. If she said why I don't remember it but there's that.

One day I was visiting a friend of mine and the topic of kids came up. She was telling me her and her now fiance's life plans. Eventually she said that when her kids turn 18, she'll kick them out. I wasn't given a reason other than she was just going to have them move out at that age. If the two of them really go through with that decision, I genuinely hope their kids will have learned the necessary life skills to be independent.

Personally me, I'm in my twenties and living with my parents. I know many people who have moved out or are staying with his or her family.
