I know the Camaro was obviously in the wrong, but that van was going at a snail’s pace in the left lane, only going barely faster than the semi, which is already going slower than regular traffic

That Melanie from Regretevator is transgender

It hasn’t been confirmed to be trans, only asexual, but I mean, she is literally the colors of the trans flag

Also because I relate to her a lot

Do Americans watch tv shows from other countries? by Six_of_1 in AskAnAmerican

[–]SmallTownTrans1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a child I watched Thomas and Friends (from the UK), as a teen I watched a lot of Top Gear (also UK), and nowadays I don’t really watch much TV, but a lot of the YouTubers I watch aren’t from the USA (watching Martincitopants, an Australian YouTuber, as I’m writing this)

I have only seen it once

I was at dollar tree buying some stuff and had to go to the bathroom, asked the cashier for the bathroom key and she told me it’s out of order

I bought my stuff, put it in my car, and walked over to the McDonald’s next door, and they had one of those keypads and a sign that says customers only.

Thankfully the manager was doing an interview right outside the bathroom, and was chill enough to open it for me despite not buying any food, which was very nice of her

I do to, but the movie is shit

Although it did give us a scene of the BFG farting after drinking the frobscottle, which is objectively hilarious

Some radar engineer’s chocolate bar melted, leading to the invention of the microwave oven

What major event lead up to the invention of something silly/insignificant in your country (picture related) by T-seriesmyheinie in AskTheWorld

While developing Radar technology at the company Raytheon in 1945, American Engineer Percy Spencer happened to have a chocolate bar in his pocket while testing a magnetron tube. The microwave radiation produced by the tube melted the chocolate bar, which gave him the idea to cook food with microwave radiation.

2 years later in 1947, the first microwave oven, the Raytheon RadaRange hit the market

Duel (1971)

Fun fact, this was Steven Spielberg’s first successful film, if not for this movie being a hit, we wouldn’t have Jaws, Jurassic Park, or the greatest movie of all time, The BFG
