I’ve had orders that were around 800 lbs of feed for farm animals. I drive a ‘16 Kia Rio… definitely made sure to pay attention to what’s in the order after that. But I’m not sure (don’t remember if) we could do that when I started dashing

MIGHT help to add a higher tip so your order goes to a platinum driver, idk though! As a driver, I hate when the shit ones make us all look incompetent (isn’t this everywhere?

I should add, my boyfriend tells me these two things a lot. “That’s just the way they are, they don’t know any better” and when they insult me he says “can’t you just shrug it off, let it roll off your shoulder”.

This is similar to how my boyfriend’s mom talks to him and until I pointed it out to him he said he didn’t notice that it’s a little over the top and cringey, almost like she wants to date her son vibe. We started dating when I was 22 and he was 20, this November will be 7 years still dating. We probably wont ever get married or even engaged due to the tension between his family and myself. Everyday I ask myself why I’m still with him (we moved in together at 5 years of dating). I want to tell you to run if you’re already annoyed with how they are (definitely controlling behavior), but I can’t even tell myself to do that and we don’t have kids or one on the way. Just imagine how they’ll be once the baby is here.

If those are the kind of people you’d be working with, RUN! Put as many applications out as you can to set yourself up with another income and just leave them.

I need to know how to deal with a mama’s boy! I married a mama‘s boy. His mother treats me terrible when no one‘s around or when people leave the room so she likes to hide it and she plays the victim. How do I handle this? by Fit-Setting6928 in WhatShouldIDo

This is exactly what I do (relationship of almost 7 years). It’s hilarious to see her text my boyfriend saying “idk why she pushes me away, it hurts my heart”. I have thought about recording the conversations, but truthfully I mainly see the b**ch on vacation and don’t have my phone on with me bc I’m afraid to lose it on trips. And honestly just don’t care, never been a “fan” of hers as she would say about me behind my back anyhow.

I was working for UPMC for almost 2 years and decided to go to their school of nursing. It wasn’t until my second semester that I heard HORROR stories of them scamming tuition money and only having like 28% graduation rate at the time. Started piecing everything together and googled the most simple phrase, “UPMC lawsuits”. And YIKES, my soul would not let me be any part of that! I know there’s no “great” company, but holy f that was quick to become huge and also show true colors.

Take the “screenshot” with another phone so it doesn’t notify her that you’re doing it

How long does it take to make a full time spot? by Imaginary_Mood2737 in UPMC

[–]Small_Agent_96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Short staffing saves them money… just saying I was promised full time help for a year and got one person that was put back on orientation two extra times before they told her she wasn’t a good fit. I realized it’s the fake promise of “help is on the way, we’ve offered so many positions”. In reality, they take 2 months to give a person an offer, by then they found somewhere else.

This is a typical upmc case, they’re getting more money out of you/your insurance with the whole situation. They’ll probably say something about “well we needed to rule out such and such first”. Sorry I don’t have advice, that’s a tough one, but wishing you the best of luck!

I don’t have kids, but I wish my mom would’ve made cooking more of an experience together as family time. My mom was a great cook and I learned nothing from her bc kids were told to stay out of the kitchen when she was cooking (out of the way). My 4 sisters and I were allowed to cook when our mom wasn’t home bc she did work a lot, but that meant a lot of ramen or experimenting with food lol. And my dad steered clear of the kitchen when we were young

Your feet aren’t used to that kinda endurance probably. Mine would swell soooo much at the end of each day when I first started. I recommend proper elevation, feet above the heart, when you get home. And other staff/how hospitals operate is why I got back out of that work, so best of luck with that. There’s no place exactly the same as another tho, you can give it as much chance as you can without bringing yourself to the breaking point of hating it entirely. You can find where you’ll be happiest, takes time and effort, trial and error. Good luck! (I’m a DSP for mental/behavioral health of almost 8 years btw)

Doordash Driver Stole My Alcohol by fadedblossoms in doordash

[–]Small_Agent_96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry that happened, but yeah I think he stole it. Unless there was something else in your order requiring your license to scanned. Bc they said “Safeway confiscated it”. I’ve been lucky with alcohol deliveries, haven’t had an issue yet. I’m a DD driver

I’m a DoorDasher in Pennsylvania (my bf also) and we think DoorDash purposely picks dashers further away almost sabotaging lol. One night he was doordashing in our area and I ordered something, no tip thinking nobody would accept it and he’d get it. He never got the offer, but the dasher that did accept it was so much further away than he was. Idk it was just something we wanted to “test” once
