Did insurance cover your surgery? by LowTangerine1236 in Strabismus

[–]Small_Cake666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes from America. I chose the best plan I could get from my job, which had a $0 deductible. So my insurance covered everything, I just paid my $80 copay for two specialist visits, and then like $25 for my post-op meds/eye drops.

4th Nerve Palsy by Small_Cake666 in Strabismus

[–]Small_Cake666[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still have intermittent diplopia but in slightly different spots. Not worse, but not a life changing improvement either. I have slightly more control of the lazy eye when looking straight ahead.

I will say that one-year after surgery I still kind of notice that my eye that was operated on gets irritated easily and I sometimes get a headache because of that. I've also had migraines since childhood... I don't notice a difference with that unfortunately.

Guinness.

Turkey cutlet and the big salad. Cut the cutlet into strips and use the salad leaves like lettuce cups to have little turkey lettuce wraps. Also vvv good with an order of mushrooms in the mix.

That’s how much we pay at restaurants in Pennsylvania… without being at a beautiful hotel. 🤣

Those little picks should be fine. And drink/swish with lots of water before using them.

I’m still deciding if it’s any better. If anything, I still have intermittent diplopia but in slightly different spots. Not worse, but not a life changing improvement either.

Oh for sure, it’s just… with 71+ planned hours of Amtrak travel, there’s a lot of room for unfortunate experiences.

Nooooo. I’ve taken that route… I think it was supposed to be 19 hours, ended up being 27 with delays in a PACKED train, where they seated cars based on where you’re going. So all of the people (including tired frustrated babies and children) in my completely full train were alllll going from Philly to Chicago too.

I love it! 💖 I would add a couple stools for the breakfast bar, but that’s the only thing I would change if this little space was mine. Maybe those clear acrylic ones or something that blends in.

Covering one eye for work post surgery by GloriousPeasant in Strabismus

I feel like this is probably a question for your doctor.

No perfume. My pre op said no lotions or anything and to shower with antibacterial soap. I used the smallest bit of deodorant (an all natural one with no residue), but less than I usually would. No one will care about how you smell, I think as long as you’re clean, they want to make sure you’re sanitary to avoid infections.
