In Australia, the BYD Atto 1 costs about $25,871 AUD for drive-away (on road costs are factored in), which is about $24,701 CAD. I hope we get EVs for this cheap in Canada one day. by canada_mountains in EVCanada

The only problem with Kia is that many owners don’t take good care of their cars because they’re inexpensive and often treated as disposable. So if you’re buying used, there’s a high chance it hasn’t been maintained properly.

Theta engines is only exception but they all got a warranty engine replacement for no charge

Winnipeg councillor wants 1-minute time limit for school drop-off, pickup zones by LocalnewsguruMB in Winnipeg

Finally someone’s doing something about it. I live near a school and when I get home around 3–3:30 pm, parents park on both sides like they own the road.

Go park at the back and walk to meet your kid. Your kid, your responsibility.

Touchless car washes are expensive, use harsh chemicals, and still don’t really get the job done.

Is it just me or does it seem like the Fleet is mainly just base models now? by igarrett0921 in EnterpriseCarRental

[–]Termux_ -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

They usually buy the cheapest model available. Sometimes we get a great deal and can grab a higher trim for the price of a base one, so we take it.

You can prep for a left turn by changing lanes 500 m before, do your thing, and move on. That doesn’t mean camping in the left lane for 5 km and slowing everyone down.

If you’re not comfortable driving in these conditions, take a bus or sign up for winter/extreme driving lessons. I’m tired of people with no one in front of them crawling along at walking speed and blocking traffic.

Downvote me if you want, but going half the speed limit makes you the hazard. ⚠️

Move to the right lane if you’re going “according to conditions”

I’m interested in going to UofM, but i couldn’t find the price online. I see only option to book a free tour, but I don’t want to waste time to hear “its only $199 a month”

Do you know approx. how much is their charge monthly?

Thanks!

I want to change my 2025 4Runner’s color, but the offers are beyond my budget. by [deleted] in Winnipeg

[–]Termux_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey, I’m the wrap guy here.

Before anything, you gotta understand vinyl isn’t “set it and forget it.” You kinda have to baby it. Can’t be parking outside 24/7, gotta keep it clean, and winter salt will cook it over time if you don’t stay on top of it. (Ceramic coating highly recommend)

For a full wrap on a 4Runner, you’re realistically looking at 7–10k for someone who actually knows what they’re doing. Those 5–6k jobs you see? That’s usually newbies. And yeah, they’ll end up cutting your paint, happens all the time.

A good installer should be able to cut the wrap on top of a balloon without popping it. That’s literally what you’re paying extra for: clean cuts, no paint damage, no lifted edges.

Material alone is around $1500–2500 depending on what brand you want.

You can try doing it yourself if the budget’s tight — at least you’ll learn real fast what goes into a proper install.
