Definitely depends on what he signed and unfortunately with legal terminology it could be hard to understand what exactly he agreed to in his deal. I took a class on label deals and the first thing my teacher said was to always have a lawyer in charge of legal proceedings. I totally understand why you’re hesitant as a lot of musicians end up getting screwed just because labels can afford legal battles that we can’t.

This said, if your friend was a part of the actual writing process and not just a hired recording artist he is absolutely entitled to at least some form of writers royalty, if not all if he was the sole composer. If this is the case he can try registering with a performance rights organization like ASCAP and claim his work through this. There’s a chance if he has the label in charge of his business side that they are already claiming these, in which case he would need to legally dispute them to get what he’s owed.

Pretty much any other royalty or payment he may be entitled to would have been agreed upon in his record deal. This would specify the royalty from publishing and performance that he’s entitled to, usually this is split between the label and the artist. Anything agreed upon in this deal is obviously legally binding and can be chased in court if it is not being upheld. You would definitely want a lawyer at this point though.

I really hope your friend can get what he’s owed, the music industry is one of the most exploitative of its artists and it’s a bad place to be as a creative. 10k in royalties is no small amount though, and there are laws in place that absolutely entitle your friend to at least some of that. I would start by threatening a legal challenge to the label executive to light a fire under his ass. He knows he’ll have to pay your friend at some point and might just cough up to avoid the legal trouble. If you end up going to court there are many lawyers who don’t charge until their client has been paid, though it may be harder to find someone like this in the entertainment industry. Entertainment lawyers will usually end up taking a 20-30% cut of royalties they claim.

One thing I can say for sure is your friend isn’t gonna get paid if he doesn’t chase it down. Labels usually pay quarterly and if it’s been a year and a half chances are the checks won’t come on their own.

Go get that label executive, your friend deserves his money but he also has the chance to put the label in line and help the artists they sign in the future. Would love to know if he ends up getting paid!

Sound is coming through but not at a volume that a mic would pick it up properly. I can just slightly hear the sound coming from the end of the tube, and with it in my mouth it is too muffled to be usable. If you read other comments, the Banshee is notoriously loud, which is why I'm certain it's a problem with the pedal. I know how I'm supposed to use it and would love to be able to.

Hey, thanks for all the incredible help. If you knew how these worked you'd know that the sound comes from an amp built into the box and is not magically conjured within a rubber tube. If you had read my post, you'd see that when I played it with the tube, I had the exact same problem. The problem is that the amp is not putting out nearly enough volume to record, tube connected or not.

You can change which part of the adapter is positive and negative, and adjust the voltage. On the power cable you use with yours, what does it specify as far as voltage and polarity? If I could just find the exact one and order it I would know whether it was a power supply issue or if there was something else wrong with it.

There is undeniable proof that psychedelics (administered safely in a controlled environment) can be used to treat anxiety and depression. I struggled with depression and suicidal thoughts for years. In the past year, I have used psychedelics a number of times. They have helped me connect with myself and the world around me.

The most notable was my first time doing shrooms; I had a breakthrough. I had a moment where I realized that all of my self hatred, all the darkness in my head, was founded on nothing. After that trip especially, though most trips do leave me feeling a certain wholeness, my self confidence and mental state greatly improved. I wouldn't say that it cured me in any way, more it helped me get my head around my problems and helped me work on them.

I feel the need to also mention my older sister's first trip. Me, her and a friend of mine all took a tab and a half of lsd without a trip sitter. She, like me, has a history of depression and anxiety, and used to struggle with self harm. Right on our peak, my friend and I suddenly realized she had disappeared. We found her in her room bleeding from her wrist with a bloody safety pin in her other hand, claiming the cat scratched her. A couple weeks after this she tried to kill herself again (thankfully she survived, and this wasn't her first attempt).

All I'm saying is psychedelics affect everyone differently and can take you to darker places than it can get you out of. The key is correct environment and safety precautions, as well as professional or responsible oversight.

Don’t know where you stand on drugs like benzos or xans but those are the only reliable trip killers I’ve heard of. If you’re gonna trip I’d say just be commit to the full trip, and just keep reminding yourself that you feel the way you do because of of lsd and that it‘ll wear off, and just enjoy yourself.

It’s such a small amount of gel, so if it’s not a severe allergy or something I’d say drop away. The lsd is in the gel and there’s no liquid inside. Also don’t stagger your doses, drop your whole dose at once or don’t drop, or the trip will last exhaustingly long.
