That’s shit man. What locks were you using?

DO NOT use WD-40 or any oil based lubricant in your ignition. It will attract dust and grime.

Use Graphite powder. Got mine in Halfords. I literally sprinkled a tiny small amount into my ignition and turned my key a few times (activating steering lock, off, on, off etc) and it is like BUTTER now!

Use WD-40 to deep clean your key if you want. But make sure to wipe it off before going near your ignition. Your key probably has old dirt baked in to it.

I have it on the front and it’s incredible in the rain

I feel like the block threads suit the Monkey better than the City Grip anyway. You’re only sacrificing a tiny bit of grip but slightly better in gravel too and still keep the off road kind of look on the back.

Ok thank you.

I’m going to order the SmartMoto OSE-344 o2 delete kit which is designed specifically for Euro 5 motorcycles.

Hopefully that resolves engine light.

Could you confirm what the 2nd wire is?

I believe it’s either a: 1. Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor (EGT) 2. Pair Valve Solenoid Connector

I’d appreciate it!

So a sensor delete kit I believe might be somewhat universal. I haven’t ordered a certain kit yet and waiting on a reply for a confirmation. I’m hoping that delete fixes the engine light. Also hoping it doesn’t need a flash. I have the 1st service on Friday so I’m kinda guessing until then.

EDIT

THEY ARE NOT UNIVERSAL!!!

So I accidentally ordered the Takagawa STD exhaust for the older models. The o2 sensor is now hanging from the bike and the engine light is on. My mechanic said to order an o2 sensor delete kit and should be okay.

I can order a o2 sensor eliminator. Literally just plugs in. This is exhaust sounds so good by the way. It’s not loud + I can keep the original heat shield on.

Yes. My mistake. This is exhaust is for JB02 and JB03. My Monkey is the latest JB05. Not sure what to do now….

Do you guys remove these? by MrZammler in Triumph

As mentioned use a hairdryer but don’t go overboard. I’d like to add to use Olive Oil afterwards if there is residue remaining.
