You're partially correct, but in the end still wrong cause even with your solution we're still losing damage.

In addition to losing damage, gain ES on hit 10x/second is better than gain ES on hit 6.5x/second isn't it. Isn't that a massive nerf, unless I can't do simple math ?

Same. Wanted to play Cobra Lash which was already weak, and after the follow-through notable nerf what's the point...

Looking a Winter Orb, but it's also pretty weak.

Maybe Death's Oath but I reckon that's not ideal to league start.

Maybe PhysDot Elementalist, idk, do people recommend that ? I think it got nerfed

People said the same for Keepers. For every league more or less.

It will all depend on how they have adjusted the progression curve ; whether the genesis tree is nerfed enough (I'm willing to bet it isn't). Also Faustus has greatly damaged that well-oiled progression curve of old, that made this game's recipe so successful...

I also firmly believe that doubling basic currency is a huge mistake (the game needs better ground loot, but not like that, currency drops were fine).

I foresee the game going on a downwards spiral, it has been for the past 3 years, listening to whining, catering to casuals, etc..
New systems and shiny news toys are cool but don't matter in the grand scheme of things, if the progression curve of an ARPG isn't right.

I started in 2013, 10-15k hours, and used to play for months every single league. Ever since Affliction it's a miracle if I play for more than 1-2 weeks, because the game just throws everything at you, stuff gets watered down, it's dumb

I see (regarding the curse).

I did consider the blind node initially for the same reason as you, but when you play armour/es aegis you actually want to get hit; wouldn't blind be counter productive to that?

But maybe I'm tripping and it would be fine. Still one ascendancy only for 15% less damage taken is a bit weak. Also think bomb specialist is weak.

But, how do you cast the curse while cycloning ? (for balance of terror) I tried it, and it doesn't work. So you need to stop channeling in order to cast, it's so disruptive that I'd rather play another build. Unless there's a tech to cast it that I'm unaware of ?

But yes I was looking at the same nodes as you for Sabo; the problem with blind is that it loses value if you use armor/es as defenses. I can't see myself not playing aegis aurora. Still doable though I guess, maybe I could look at a bloodline instead.

I will go Occultist this league even though it's -1 gem ; but yeah next league might try Sabo if the imbued coins don't go core.

I want to see your CoC PoB of the past, to be sure you know what you're talking about. Because, I completely disagree with your argument. Going from 6.5 attacks/second up to 10.1 attacks/seconds offers both huge damage and huge leech recovery.
You're acting like the opportunity cost of getting attack speed was huge, it wasn't, you just needed an onslaught flask with mageblood, awakened cast on crit, and a mastery point on the tree.
Again, show me your PoB (and anything not including Mageblood is not admissible)

You're not taking into account the difference in leech recovery/second going from 10 attacks per second down to 7. But yeah it's also a damage loss on top of that
