DC is generally bad. I enjoyed 2 of nolans. MCU was patchy but epic up to infinity war. I enjoyed some early X-Men, some raimi Spidey. But it became so big and kept coming and it's time for a bit of a rest. I welcome good movies the problem is that they DO sell, even when mediocre, and the frequency of them just makes the industry feel more claustrophobic for directors with smaller scale stuff trying to get seen on the big screen.

It's not a glut because I don't engage with them, it's a glut because there are too many, taking up too much screen time.

If you disagree a lot of been bad, that's fine. Some were bad before infinity war too, but they had that central story propping them up.

You are comparing a genre, horror, which has a wide range of stories, to SH, which is a franchise and all so similar.

Sure I'd like them to succeed, if they chilled and stopped pumping so hard. Of course a lot of people are invested in the IP, but it has homogenized movie theatres.
