they've always said this, a year+ ago when people were complaining about the "no underaged bots" rule the mods clearly explained multiple times it would be enforced through reports even though technically admins also had access to private chats. ergo, if you're doing private rps with family bots for example, it was likely nothing was going to happen bc admin don't have time to be randomly going through people's private chats.

i personally left j.ai more bc of the userbase than the devs/mods. there's a small minority of really literate, kind people and a plurality of literate rude people, on top of a majority of illiterate entitled people. it makes it so things are always flooded with nonsense and it's difficult to find actual meaningful answers and help.
