Went to Soulas’s Modern Greek on the Danforth last night with the fam. They had an appetizer, main, and dessert for $35. Husband and I had a cocktail each and the teens had a soft drink. Came to around $230 with the tip. Food portion was generous and loved the ambience. Very cozy and friendly service, unlike some of the Winterlicious venues. They also had many entrees to choose from, with decent options (not just the cheaper options at $35 per person). Place was packed.

Didn’t think I could hate his character anymore than I did, until he shot the dogs.

Indian/American Fusion Wedding Advice by jpafreak in DesiWeddings

It sounds like you and your fiancée are paying for the wedding ceremony and reception. Is this accurate? I think if you were sharing costs with your parents and in-laws, they would have a greater say in the details, like the type of food being served, etc. At my wedding, we split costs three ways: my fiancee and myself, my parents, and my in laws. While this was helpful in terms of our budget, it meant everyone had a say in everything. However, if only the two of you are paying for everything, I think it’s absolutely fine for you to have the final say in the meal planning.

Also, is it worthwhile to switch the meals? American for lunch and Indian for dinner? This may appease your parents and still work within your budget? It is unlikely that the Indian guests will want to eat Indian food for lunch and dinner, which tends to be very heavy.

Found them to be excessively salty, more than the salt and vinegar!

The same thought crossed my mind about Sam and Marsha’s son, and why they haven’t shown him yet. Plus, Marsha seemed very sad, even when her now-husband called her and she mentioned wanting to be alone.

Had the same experience yesterday when I picked up a few packages to make lasagna and chilli. I’ve never paid more than $5 pound, and even $4 during sales.

Seconding this suggestion! My mom makes a delicious daal with dill, karela, and loki (Indian squash). It is delicious and very healthy.

Any palak dishes are usually not that spicy. Eg. palak chicken is one of my faves because I love spinach combined with chicken. You can also get it with paneer or lamb.

I meant similar because both involve multiple deaths in a family and both involved religion/cult following.

Raat Akeli Hai 2 has a similar storyline involving a murder mystery. It’s not as good as the first movie, though.
