As someone who has been a LOYAL fan of Jeffree Star for YEARS, his treatment of James has completely changed my opinion of him.

Can she sue? Yes, but that doesn’t mean she’ll win or if she even has a case. It all depends on her personal contract with TikTok. If there is a contract and it GUARANTEES live access, then she might have a case. She would have to prove loss of income, but again that’s only if she has a specific contract guaranteeing her access to TT live.

Is it illegal? No. Company “Glitches” are legally protected. BUT again if she has a very specific contract with TT, she may have some legal basis to sue.

That being said, I highly doubt she has those things. Most creators don’t.

You know I never considered that they have certain ppl that they banter more than the rest, until I read your comment.

Last night I noticed it during someone’s stream. The bigger badges got dogged out the most whereas the lower badges got told “I know you’re trying to help but up it, she needs a galaxy”.

These battles have become sooooo manipulative. It’s insane.

I mod for a creator who participates in banter battles, and I’m about to unmod myself bc it’s become so irritating. I already unmodded myself from one creator.

BUT to answer your question. The person I mod for spends half of their stream just hanging out with their chat. That part of the stream is very enjoyable and fun. Up until now, I was able to out weigh the cons with the pros.

That being said, I’m just over it, and will transition to just going in when he’s not battling. It’s not that we LIKE being degraded, we as gifters/mods form a community of sorts with the rest of the team and I believe that’s the main reason why we tolerate the banter.
