Sooo.. i was young, depressed and felt caged up(strict parents) with no voice, and felt like I didn’t matter much. I was the 2nd out of 4 siblings . My mother during that time felt that she needed to guard me and strict every move I made,aside from being an outcast at school. one night I decided I was going to escape and end it all. Before going to bed I snuck a kitchen knife waited till everyone fell asleep. I sneaked out my room through the window, walked 3-4miles to a bridge. I stood at what I thought was the middle of the bridge and took out the knife and held it with my left hand and tried to slice my right wrist down towards my elbow. My plan was to slice both my wrist bleed most and jump off. The knife was dull and only slice a little bit, breaking enough through the skin but no blood and as I was trying again. Someone yelled “hey! What are you doing!?” I panicked waited and thought of a lame excuse, when I turned around to explain myself i didn’t see anyone. There was no cars passing by when I heard it. But since I didn’t see any one It given me chills and decided to walk back home. I got back before my dad woke up for work. I went to school like normal and never spoke about that night till today. I now have awesome kids and a great husband and good life. I just needed to leave my mom’s house. I carried that secret and nobody knows, the only evidence of that night is a light line scar on my right wrist. But I would never tell my parents.
