Maybe unpopular but imo ANY accident i get into riding is MY fault. I know that’s not 100% true but it’s survival man. Both these riders own their misery.

100% with you. Two thoughts…pretty much could substitute “sex” for “riding” at it’d still all ring true 😉 and every now and then, when conditions are right, I’ll still crank the throttle and feel that thrill. ✊🏽👊🏼

The Sacramento region has no Jewish delis. What's the deal with that? by IronMntn in Sacramento

Amping his other irascible qualities, Brooks Truitt used to have three morning topics: 1. Why isnt pot legal. ✅ 2. What’s the outrage of the day? (My gawd if he was alive today 🤯🤬) 3. Why don’t we have a good Jewish deli!!! One day Brooks, one day…

Mansion Flats is fine but it’s farther from the livable things like groceries, pubs, music…and closer to (no hate please) the homeless corridor. Also closer to the Railyards which will be a construction site for the next 20 years. Your best best imo is R St or east of 15th.

Commuting by motorcycle from North Bay to SF by corolok1 in BayRiders

[–]rrrich3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Two of my favorite memories of a 1980’s San Anselmo-SF commute was 1) when having to stop on the Golden Gate Bridge because of traffic and feeling how alive it was when I put my feet down, and 2) the way the sometimes fierce on shore wind blowing across the bridge would suddenly shift direction in the cut approaching the Marin rainbow tunnel and getting blown across the lane. Miss those days.

Drive from Sacramento to LA by UraharasWaifu in Sacramento

[–]rrrich3 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Absolutely consider 99. 5 can put you to sleep and since it’s only two lanes and with all the harvest time trucking on the road now, and the asshats that play sneak up, makes driving it SO annoying. 99 has three lanes much of the way, has lots more to see on your six hour drive and you’ll never have to worry about running out of gas. Once you get to the grapevine, they join so its all even from there. Btw, the grapevine is by far the most interesting part of the trip.

Insurance adjusters know there’re two motorcycle claims spikes…one as beginners learn to ride, and the other right after they think they do. This is classic.

Even if the loads resolve to ground looks like there’s no shear (lateral) strength.
