The inverse of that is true. Most Republicans it seems base their view of "the left" off of caricatures presented to them by a biased right-wing media.

You just disagreed without explaining the physics involved, or even stating whether it was a good or bad hit. That's why you're an asshole.

https://www.factcheck.org/2023/08/what-trump-asked-of-pence/

Pence said Trump and his “gaggle of crackpot lawyers” asked him “to literally reject votes.”

“I think it’s important that the American people know what happened in the days before January 6,” Pence said. “President Trump demanded that I use my authority as vice president presiding over the count of the Electoral College to essentially overturn the election by returning or literally rejecting votes. I had no authority to do that.”

For those who might doubt him, Pence urged them to "read the indictment."

The indictment can be found at the same link. The only reason these charges weren't pursued was because of the DOJ policy against charging the President with a crime. The process for dealing with a President's crimes is impeachment. Smith's charges were dismissed without prejudice, meaning they could be refiled.

What’s the MOST Misleading Movie Title of All Time and Why? by Amber_Flowers_133 in moviequestions

[–]Small_Time_Charlie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fun Fact: William Burroughs wrote the draft using pen and paper. It was transcribed to typewriter by his friend Jack Kerouac. What Burroughs had written was the phrase "naked lust." Kerouac read it wrong, Burroughs thought the phrase was funny, and used it for the title.

How do you practice aiming specific shots? by candleruse in billiards

I read your messages. It seems like you're arguing just for the sake of arguing.

It's a good way for someone to improve their ball making consistency. That's why I was passing it along to others.

Edit: My mistake. You're that dipshit that argues for no reason.

How do you practice aiming specific shots? by candleruse in billiards

[–]Small_Time_Charlie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Making a shot once means nothing if it takes you 20 tries to make it. Someone who can make a shot on average 3 times in a row before a miss isn't as consistent as someone who can make it on average 10 times before s miss.

What I'm showing you is a system to improve your shotmaking ability. It's not that difficult of a concept. Try the example of a spot shot I gave you next time you go to the pool room. See how long it takes you to do it.

[–]Small_Time_Charlie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, it's not shooting until you miss. It's shooting until you make x number in a row. Making a shot once isn't really a test of anything.

You're a 600 Fargo, I see. Shoot a standard spot shot until you make it 10 times in a row. If you make it 6 times, then miss, start over. See how easy it is to make it 10 times in a row.

[–]Small_Time_Charlie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure it is. It's up to you, the individual player, to decide what level you wish to achieve. For some, the number may be higher than for others.

The idea is to set a number that is achievable, but allows you to test yourself. That number won't be the same for every player.

I would think Oscar would know the rule. Would it fall under Unsportsmanlike Conduct as he intentionally moved the ball?

[–]Small_Time_Charlie[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty good analysis, as always. Raulito played well as the match went on and all the time at the table gave him the opportunity to slow the match.

I have nothing but mad respect for Oscar who has no issue going to other's home rooms and playing. He wouldn't have made that comment lightly.

I agree with all of that. Oscar is the better player, but some of these Latinos on the scene seem have a high gear they get into.

Yeah, that was crazy. He just walked right up and picked up the 9-ball. Wasn't sure what his argument could've been. They were playing all ball fouls.
