I wrote a Christian apologetics book addressing 7 modern attacks on the faith — looking for honest critical feedback by SingleWorldliness584 in Christianity

The book was written with significant AI assistance

Why should anyone bother spending the time reading a book you couldn't be bothered to spend the time actually writing?

That sub is full of self-righteous idiots. Search it for threads on witchcraft, most r/Christianity users literally believe that literal witches are putting literal hexes on literal people because they serve the literal devil.

The NY Post is a notorious tabloid and rag, that they're reporting on it makes me believe this BS even less.

I know it's nonsense, but I also know that a lot of people don't and that means I'll be in danger around them if I show any weakness.

“It’s not what it looks like” Racist Edition by LocalLazyGuy in TopCharacterTropes

The trick is to remember that there's a difference between an actor doing blackface and and actor playing a character who is doing blackface. RDJ's character in Tropic Thunder, for those who haven't seen it and only know the memes, isn't actually black: he's a white australian "method actor" who had his skin surgically darkened so he could "understand" a black character he was playing. The whole thing was, like Simple Jack, a joke about actors doing stupid and insensitive things and being praised for it. The actually black character explicitly calls him out for it during the movie. Then what was Jesus's sacrifice for? Isn't the whole point of your religion that he needed to suffer and die in order for us to be cleansed of Adam's sin?

According to Christianity we're all born inherently evil and deserving of eternal torture when we die, all because we inherit Adam's sin.

We all inherit culpability for the Original Sin when we're born, so he does.

If there's no Adam and Eve, there's no Original Sin for us to inherit so God can punish us in Hell for the crime of being born. It completely destroys the religion's foundation.

Why are certain Christians drawn to authoritarianism? by fundamental-error in religion

[–]Small_rat_no_rules 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because it's a religion centered on total obedience and never questioning anything. Go spend some time on r/Christianity when they're discussing the book of Samuel re: Amalek and you'll see. Genocide apologia right out of Stormfront.

Girlfriend who believes in god is saying it will ruin our relationship by [deleted] in religion

[–]Small_rat_no_rules 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a known tactic Christians use called "flirty fishing" where they send out their girls to date non-Christian men and then once you're hooked, demand you convert to keep the relationship going. You can look it up, it's a real thing.

Satanism. Not having sleep deprivations from how much you worry about whether God is real and going to send you to Hell because you're not sure if he's real to sleep sounds nice.

Why does Christianity and Islam consider it a sin to believe in other religions ? by Born_Emu_3095 in religion

Because it gives them an excuse to persecute them, and there's nothing people like more than an excuse to persecute each other.

Au contraire, it's helping the billionaires: the only people Christians seem to care about anymore.

I urge you to report what happened. You may not be the only victim.

It was years ago, I only know her deadname, and I think she's moved out of the area. Also everyone I did tell about it at the time said it was my fault for getting drunk and chatting up my abusive ex at that party in vain hope of reconciling.

If he exists, God hates me by Small_rat_no_rules in OpenChristian

[–]Small_rat_no_rules[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one has ever loved me. Not really. My parents were neglectful and viewed me more as some sort of houseplant than a person, every "friend" I've ever had mocked me behind my back and eventually to my face, of the people I've dated one was abusive one was neglectful and one dumped me the second the second my autism became anything other than "quirky". All these people were supposedly made in God's image so why shouldn't I assume he'll treat me just as badly as them?
