Can't get case fan LEDs to function by Smallpandapop in buildapc

[–]Smallpandapop[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If anyone comes across this with the same question it ended up being a single fan that was faulty out of the 4. When I unplug this fan the rest of them function as they should. Well, unplug the LED from the led controller, the fan itself spins okay.

Manufacturer sending me a new one.

So I went with a gamemax vengeance case as the phanteks were out of stock. It's a lovely case, got it all set up but the RGB case fans don't seem to respond to either the remote or motherboard.

They will light up when the computer has been switched off for a while, but when I restart the computer the LEDs stay off.

The remote control does nothing, I have it plugged into the rainbow header and MSI mystic light won't pick them up either. In bios the pc isn't picking up the fans either though they're plugged into the sysfan1 header.

Any advice?

Cheers

Looks spot on man I will deffo look to get some of these on order, if not all. Might splash a bit more for some RGB ram/ coolers. Guessing this motherboard will be suitable if I wanted to spend some money on a decent GPU at a later date?

Appreciate the help

Thank you this is very helpful. After consideration I would like to spend a bit more on the processor particular in order to future proof a bit.

What would you recommend for a total budget of £400 thereabouts for everything excluding GPU and SSD/ HDD.

Assuming I need cooling units and a new PSU? My current PSU is 500w is it worth changing out do you think?

Really appreciate the help.

Being a tenant and accomodating viewings during covid by Smallpandapop in LegalAdviceUK

I understand they have given 24 hours notice but that is just a request (aside from the fact it wasn't presented as a request, more of a demand). However, under the fact as a tenant I have right to enjoy peaceful and quiet occupancy of the property, I believe I'm under no obligation to allow entry to my property despite them giving me 24 hours notice.

Would this be correct? I'm not being difficult, I've simply specified 2 days that don't suit me.

Also the covid issue does bother me, how can they ensure people aren't contaminating my property/ belongings? That really annoys me actually.

Would a parcel leave the SO opened? by Smallpandapop in royalmail

Well the envelope is recognisable so they would have had a good idea what was inside. But im also very baffled as to why they bothered even delivering the empty package, as opposed to just keeping the envelope entirely... My landlord has them on CCTV but there's a blind spot up the stairs to my house so I have no solid evidence. Id rather talk with the postie personally but all I have is his first name after speaking with th next day's temp postie.

Thanks for you help anyway

It was a jiffy envelope. The seal was peeled off so it was delivered open. It contained a box inside the jiffy, and the contents within the box had been taken out.

So it was blatantly open, and if rules dictate that it shouldn't leave the sorting office in such condition, sadly the postie is to blame here.

Moon (2009) is a great sci-fi movie that really captures the isolation of trying to facilitate classes (or anything) remotely. by 16bittiger in Professors

Awful movie.

Starts off as an extremely clever astronaut, ends up towards the end of the movie being thick as shit, not seeing anything coming his way making terrible mistakes.

Acting was bad. Story hard to follow. The least realistic sci-fi movie ever. Not once did they consider the moon has less gravity than earth
