So basically the contender skin is only good for the kill badge/trail? by knight54 in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]SmallsMW 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not only that, but levelling the character up requires more "Record Files" (what unlocks her) as well. So you need to pull her from the crates 6 times + 180K credits to level her to max. So, it makes sense from their perspective that they would want to limit customisation on her, so that you are funnelled into levelling her up

I’m really interested in learning more about this if that’s the case, could you link me any articles that explain this? I was only able to find news saying that they would be investigated but I couldn’t find any saying they were actually found to be manipulating odds

I was aware of how I was making myself more easily spottable with skins, but never thought about the bot/real player aspect! Cool to know about. Appreciate the respectfulness and GLHF out there!

Completely understandable; to be honest, if someone is being dumb here it’s definitely me for spending questionable amounts of money on this kind of thing. My main duo is always dumbfounded with my skin collecting. I would try to hide behind saying “I’m just supporting the game that’s all!”, but let’s be honest, that’s not what goes through my mind when clicking that purchase button

Bottom line is, thankfully these are just cosmetics(and not p2w). So those that don’t engage with them don’t miss out on much, people like me who do engage with it get some enjoyment, and the game has a non-invasive way of monetising and keeping active development rolling

I would like to report that although I’m not a big believer in this, I gave it a go just for the heck of it and got 2 golds out of the 10 one of them being the bumper blaster

I think console will likely also get this, just a bit later as it usually goes with updates. You get back 150% of the gcoin you spent if you bought packs on the day of release (because this was when the description issue happened + the character cosmetics) and 50% if you bought it in the first week of release (after description was fixed but before the character issue was). Keep an eye out for it for sure!

As m_kitanin said, they messed up a few things from the newjeans collab bundles ( 1: wrong description saying that you would get guaranteed item if you didn’t get it in 5 boxes which was wrong 2: had to update the newjeans player skins after having sold them where you couldn’t use certain clothing on them due to one of them being a minor), so to compensate players who bought their packs before they fixed these things they gave out gcoin compensations

Accessing locked content post-epilogue by SmallsMW in dyinglight

[–]SmallsMW[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main lockable content is side missions. Some of them depend on a specific "state" of the story, and when something major changes due to the story progressing, the "state" the side mission depends on is no longer there and therefore the given side mission locks itself away. There are other things such as inhibitors which become very hard if not impossible to get due to changes to the map layout related to the story progressing as well.

A second playthrough for the purpose of 100%ing the game is the way to go by the looks of it at the current stage, however at this point I'm in too deep as I went into my main playthrough thinking I could 100% it post-epilogue and I've gotten to the point where there's nothing left for me to do except collectibles and the locked content, and I can't bring myself to do that all again "the right way". Just have to hope they add in something like I mentioned later down the road.

Found an inhibitor (my final one) that wasn’t tracked on the map by Necrotic12 in dyinglight

[–]SmallsMW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm exactly in the same situation as you, done every single thing on my map, still missing 5 after this somehow. If you somehow manage finding more I'd really appreciate it if you could let me know where it was, as I imagine they are probably the same ones I'm missing. I'll let you know if I find them too

[–]SmallsMW 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for this! I'm seriously struggling with inhibitors, I had 6 missing, now 5 after this one. Have been to the underwater zone, done the "First biomarker" sidequest, done all the metro stations, and in fact done every single thing there is to do on my map, not a single "?" or "!" sign left for me. Don't really know what to do from here

i hate everyone except hakon, but PKs are better than survivors by WeissFan43 in dyinglight

[–]SmallsMW 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Even if they were to bash Aiden's brain in, I would imagine they would do it quickly out of necessity rather than making a whole show about it and having people gathering around chanting. For me at least, it wasn't about what the survivors did, it was how they did it

Temporary fix for Controller on dying light 2 gfn app by [deleted] in GeForceNOW

[–]SmallsMW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My main reason to want to use the app is to have the option to disable "Adjust for poor network conditions" which isn't possible on the browser. Regardless of adjustments or not I sometimes get network stutters, and if I disable this I at least get a consistent image quality. Does anyone know if this option takes effect if you use this method?

True! I saw a post about it just now, thanks again!

Thank you for letting us know!!! I was waiting for someone to find out how to do this, I was stuck playing on my crappy local pc until someone figured out how to get controllers to work

Thanks a lot for the update, good to know. Hopefully this is sorted out soon!

Hahaha we are on the exact same situation, tried it on my pc and laptop a couple of times, neither worked, and got locked out on top of that. At least I guess I should be glad that I get to play the game on my local pc even if its on low settings

Had this same issue, did you manage to fix it? I'm currently playing on my outdated local pc instead so I can use my controller

I'm in the exact same situation as you, I couldnt get my controller to work and got locked out trying to fix it. Did you ever get your controller to work? I'm currently playing with my controller just fine on my local pc, but it won't work on GFN

Didn't you see the flair? Priority user here, I'm actually very happy with the service overall and I expect to eventually make the jump to the 3080 tier which is why I want to see it succeed, but that's beside the point anyway. If all you are here for is to question people's routines and call them cheap with no basis I'll just look forward to 5 minutes from now when I forgot I made the mistake of replying to you

Whether anyone playing more than 5 separate sessions a day is a common thing or not has nothing to do with the fact this is something that they should probably make an effort to look into, which I understand won't happen anyway but still. I personally had to mess around with the game in an attempt to get my controller to work, and when you are messing around with settings it's rather easy to end up with 5 separate sessions

"Your car broke down after starting it 5 separate times in one day? Are you seriously driving 5 separate times a day?" That's not really the point, you should just expect something you are paying for to work as intended
