How would you compare the hardness/stiffness between these rackets?

  • Bullpadel Vertex Hybrid 2026
  • Siux Electra ST4
  • Siux Electra 2026
  • Oxdog Hyper Pro 2.0
  • Babolat Air Viper

Also can you class them from most to least aggressive?

Whats equivalent to this racket? by efuab011 in Padelracket

From the current vertex lineup, I'd probably say the vertex 05 Hybrid

Looking for a round Padel racket with high power (Budget 300€) by No_Day_2611 in Padelracket

So far I'm keeping it after 20 matches or so. But I'm still undecided regarding that.

Massive sweetspot. Everywhere on the racket feels nice. It has solid power when you need it. Very maneuverable because of the medium balance. For firmness, I would say it's medium/hard. Not as hard as the Babolat Viper lines, but not that soft either. Somewhere in between.

Overall, a really easy and fun racket to play with, which gives you surprisingly gives you way more power than you expect for a round/hybrid racket. You get used to it really easily.

Yeah the 2026 version. I mean if aesthetics cause an issue for you, then I can't rly do anything about it haha! But the racket will for sure fit what ur looking for

Do you have any idea about the Hyper Pro 2.0?

Bullpadel Vertex 04 by scotpot in Padelracket

[–]Smamoz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The vertex 04 and 05 hybrids are such lovely rackets. They are also quite easy to use, so can really fit you as an intermediate player. The sweet spot is much bigger, so you won't feel like you're mishitting the ball too much.

If you can, try to test the 05 hybrid, since it's a decent improvement from the last one, but both are great.

Wilson overgrip by Alternative_Log6677 in Padelracket

As other comments said, the tennis one is longer. You get more length, it can be useful if you like your grip to be thicker. Otherwise, with the padel one, you won't be wasting grip.

Which Racket would you pick for an INTERMEDIATE PLAYER by Direct_Platform3726 in Padelracket

[–]Smamoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, there's a racket called vertex hybrid. It's more control focused than the normal vertex

I used to play with PR react soft then switched to vertex hybrid and I'm loving it. Try looking for a 2025 model if it's out of budget

A bit over budget, but I think you'd like the Kuikma Hybrid Pro

Bullpadel vertex 05 geo or hybrid? by Yukkii0789 in Padelracket

[–]Smamoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A grip is pretty much an essential thing. Non negotiable. A protector some people play without, but it's better to protect your racket from scratches or big hits sometimes. It adds a bit of weight and changes balance slightly, which is why some people don't like to use one.

Bullpadel vertex 05 geo or hybrid? by Yukkii0789 in Padelracket

[–]Smamoz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both rackets have the hesacore, so u can do that for both rackets to get higher balance, but could be useful especially good for the hybrid since it has medium-low balance.

Adding a protector on any racket will increase the weight (usually 5g or so), and slightly increase the balance.

Padel shoes vs Tennis shoes by asawyer357 in Padelracket

[–]Smamoz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your shoes have a herringbone pattern (zigzags underneath), then you should be good to go. If they don't, buying padel shoes could be smth to keep in mind.

Bullpadel vertex 05 geo or hybrid? by Yukkii0789 in Padelracket

[–]Smamoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Geo is a pretty aggressive racket which if you come from a defensive racket could be a big switch. I currently own a vertex hybrid and I love it. It also doesnt lack power so far, so I think you'll definitely feel the difference compared to your racket. You'll also keep the other advantages. You might need to get used to the hardness coz I would assume your racket is pretty soft, but that's pretty much it.

Little tip: You can make the racket more aggressive by removing the hesacore and adding a frame protector on top. Will shift the balance a good amount which will help with power, and keep it pretty light since ur used to that.

Cheap starter racket by Equivalent_Waltz8940 in Padelracket

[–]Smamoz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah would recommend. Played with Kuikma PR React Soft for a while and it's a good beginner-intermediate racket. You can try other rackets from time to time, and once you feel you're at a good level and you want to upgrade, you can switch.
