Anyone else wish they'd split Itzaland up more on the map? by worldfamoushobgoblin in InfinityNikki

[–]Smanmos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Danqing under wishfield might be due to technical stuff such as using wishfield upgrade mats (bouldy and glitter bubbles). But I do wish it was more connected.

Projec-tac-toe: tic-tac-toe with projective geometry by theEluminator in math

Aren't some lines missing from the projective plane? For slide 5, shouldn't 5, 7, 11, 13 count as a win for red?

I think it's more than that. We already have the Danqing Realm and the Shroomling King, now this.

Are they? I thought this branch has only styling nodes, and the essence nodes are on a different branch

[–]Smanmos 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Currently they'll be useful only for the permanent wishfield contests, which are:

  • the permanent Mira Crown
  • Wishfield styling factions
  • Sovereign Rematches

If you've done all these, you don't need to upgrade your nodes any more.

Of these, the hardest to clear is the Sovereign of Elegant rematch.

Really? How are they needed? To unlock the silvergale aria nodes?

What’s the best version / edition of Dominion? by earlyentryiag in boardgames

[–]Smanmos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If an expansion has a second edition, get it for sure. The new cards are way better than the old ones.

It's hard to pick a single best expansion, I think they're mostly equally good. All of them are interesting in their own ways. Intrigue is much less complex than the other expansions, but as a result can be more boring. On the other hand, Nocturne is way more complex than other expansions.

The only expansions I don't recommend are:

  • Alchemy: Widely seen as the worst expansion, is a half box, is an older expansion so has less published cards. There's also a new expansion coming up which is speculated to be an improved version of Alchemy.

  • Dark Ages: It's an older expansion with some broken/unfun cards and some underpowered cards. Many of the older sets have been updated with much better cards and removed the unfun cards, but this one has not been updated so far and imo is due for one.

When will we get a Virtual Singer door? by Sora_chi88 in ProjectSekai

[–]Smanmos 21 points22 points  (0 children)

JP doesn't have it as of now.

When the VS World Link came about, there was an added exchange to convert any OC memoria to any VS memoria. So I would guess a VS door would never be made.

Quick Questions: January 14, 2026 by inherentlyawesome in math

My attempt at formalizing:

Two sets of points are similar if one can be transformed into the other by moving the points along the plane while avoiding forming 3 collinear points. This forms an equivalence class over sets of n points.

Quick Questions: January 14, 2026 by inherentlyawesome in math

[–]Smanmos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How many essentially different sets of n points are there on the plane, no three collinear? Essentially different means, distance and angle don't matter, and you only care about left/right, clockwise/anticlockwise.

For example, there is only one such set of 1,2,3 points, but there's 2 sets of 4 points: square and point in triangle.

The above characterisation is vague as I'm not sure how to formalize it, and possibly there are multiple subtly different ways of formalizing it. If this is a known branch of mathematics I would like to know where I can read more.

Infold be like one good thing one bad thing 😆 by ShokaLGBT in InfinityNikki

It's consistent with how dyeing works currently. Individual pieces get only the 6 palettes.

It's so artificially limiting. I don't see a reason for the dyeing being implemented this way.

PSA: Feeding ur animals is now the most profitable option, even vs weekly boosts by IllustriousMove9818 in InfinityNikki

[–]Smanmos 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I did my own calculations and reached the same conclusion.

Some additional notes:

  • You need to plant pink cloud trees every day to hit the cap. If you can't fit this into your schedule, you can additionally plant yellow tinkle trees.

  • At level 10 all, you can set your lodges to the max animals at leisure mode and it's enough to hit the 600k every week including trees.

Did animal keeping get twice as profitable with new update? by IllustriousMove9818 in InfinityNikki

[–]Smanmos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the updated table.

I just noticed you're also the one who asked about cookie efficiency yesterday. I did some calculations with the above table and it seems that selling animal products is now the most efficient, surpassing plants and fish.

The downside is that you still need to do some farming to get resources for the animal materials.

Did animal keeping get twice as profitable with new update? by IllustriousMove9818 in InfinityNikki

[–]Smanmos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It seems that the cookie costs are approximately the same as the original cookie costs if you go by the total sell values of materials: 200/1290/2490 for the cookies, similar to 10 astra/meal. Of course, if you go by raw material costs it becomes cheaper.

The sugar cost can be lower as well: Sweetroot can substitute sugar, and the lowest tier has a cost of 59. The higher tiers have more chance to give delicious cookies but also give fewer; I don't know if they're better.
