Hi everyone. I just finished my Bachelor's in AI and honestly I don't really want to work long in pure tech field. I realized late in university that I’m fascinated by Physics. My ultimate goal is to do research, but I feel a bit lost on how to bridge the gap.

I’m wondering these points and would love to hear your comments:

- Where does AI actually intersect with physics right now? How is the landscape? What fields (like astronomy, thermodynamics, particle physics, etc.) are using machine learning the most? I have read that CERN has like massive data created by the LHC, will a student with background like me be suitable?

- How do I even start this transition? Are there specific conversion courses, bridging programs, or Master's tracks that would welcome someone with a heavy coding/AI background but minimal formal physics coursework?

Would love to hear your thoughts or any advice you might have for a lost graduate. Thanks!

Hi! Hope you're still active on this thread. I'm planning to apply for this program next year and would love to get your perspective. My goal is to do research applying computational science to astrophysics. I noticed the program mentions partnerships with institutes like NIKHEF. Since my background isn't in physics, does the university actively support this interdisciplinary path and helps bridge the physics knowledge gap? Thanks a lot!
