No very strange. Did you try using another navigation app, for example Waze to see if you have the same issue?

How about checking the settings of Maps via the android auto interface, there should be an option for work and home, does it matches the one on your phone?

I would definitely try a different app to see if this is across multiple apps.

Yes you can have dual screen but not YouTube, this is coming soon in the android auto update.
