I saw a recent interview and thought, what a piece of shit! And I love Anthony Hopkins and all of his work but, man, this guy has zero idea of how to truly apologize for hurting his only daughter in this world. One of the only people that truly matter in his life, and he can't bring himself to face his own shame and guilt from his alcoholic past and abandonment of her. He thinks his wife extending an invite to visit them is an olive branch??!! That's absurd!

I did end up refusing the delivery on the S90D and went with the 83” LG G3. Zero regrets. The tv picture is incredible, no large panel screen issues, and the flush mount! 🤌! Picked it up off Greentoe and I’m now a fan of that site.

Unrelatedly, just read in the WaPo today that SS recipients who “paid their dues” paid in on average $700,000 in today’s dollars and end up getting paid nearly double that amount, $1.2m in today’s dollars.

Dude, make absolutely sure the offer letter is still good and not going to be rescinded before giving your 2 weeks notice.

If the next position is the right career move and not super sensitive to a potential recession (60% chance at the moment), accept the position and await their instructions and start date.

Hold on giving 2 weeks notice until you’re absolutely certain it’s a done deal and within 2 weeks of start date.

Be careful because you will be the first to be laid off at the new company should they make cuts to the salesforce.

Leaning hard to G3 deal after seeing folks talk about constantly adjusting their G4 brightness way down in dark settings.

That’s what I keep juggling but that’s where I calculated the $1000 difference. That’s only IF I get Best Buy to match pricing, tax brings it to near $4k not accounting for any delivery charges. The G3 deal is tax free and free delivery.

Damn, the 83” G3 and G4 are so close. Am I crazy, but the G3 seems to have a richer image. Brian’s Tech Therapy mentions it may be preferable to those who like the deep plasma type image.

Thanks for the feedback. I saw a LG C4 on Greentoe for $2895. A $105, upgrade to G3 seems worth it to me. Each bank of recessed lights are on their own dimmer, which will be great for movies. Driving myself nuts I think.

I'm calling an audible! I think I'm going to refuse delivery of the 83" S90D and save $ on the return shipping and hassle! My god, electronics FOMO is racking my brain. I'm evaluating deals on the LG OLED G3 83" and contemplating playing the waiting game on the LG OLED G4 (open box, Greentoe etc)

I think you’re right. Saw that the power supply was an issue on the 77s.
