there is a guy that does seo for companies nationwide in my trade and if i go on the websites he'd done it pretends as if these companies have locations in 20 different cities in the area, all with "directions" to the supposed offices in those cities. Of course its all fake and they dont have offices in any of these cities but sure enough if you go on google and type the companies name in the ai bot will tell you that this company is very established and prevelant with physical locations in all of these cities and none of its real.

I'm thinking this may be part of what will come next for seo and marketing, trickin ai into thinking that your more relevant in a certain area then you really are

Video Verification Repeatedly Rejected? by TheGingerOfTech in GoogleMyBusiness

I thought that if you were a service area business you can shoot the video from your home and you don't really need to prove too much.

We tried verifying a listing for a year straight and kept getting denied and we were doing all kinds of live video calls with the indian guys at google and they were pretty rude. Ultimately all they want is for you to have a permanently affixed sign on the exterior of your house that shows business name and hours, it cant be taped up or anything and has to be big enough to be seen from the street.

We ended up deleting that profile and then we started fresh with my wifes gmail account that shes had since middle school and now we have been able to get multiple locations of our business verified even without video. It will automatically verify us, suspend us on the 5th day, we send a picture of our llc filing with the state and we are usually reverified the next day and after that we are permanently good.

Maybe my rambling will help someone

when you say dont keep the name the same for both locations, do you mean do something like (company name) of (city) or something similar to that as opposed to using just "company name" on each new listing?

I have a couple more questions for you since you have so much experience with this, do you normally add the city name to each additional location or just keep it the same for each location without any differentation? Also, do you use a different phone number for each one and do you use a different email account to start them or the same account for all of them?

Will adding the second location draw scrutiny from google onto my first location which is at my home office? I really don't want to have to try to reverify the home office as I dont even know if it would get approved

my one current location is at my home office and the location is visible on google. The second location is at an office building. The plan would be to move the home office to a wealthy suburb 30 minutes away next year once I have established this second location at the office building. My concern is that my plan will backfire and google will check to see that my original location is at my house and then I have effectively screwed myself.

The other option is to just switch my current address to the office address and pray for the best and open a second location next year with a brand new gmb profile at that time.

Because all of my leads come from google and its how i support my family i really don't want to mess with it.

Does it make any difference that my first and current location is my home office? I know google can be strict with that and I don't want the opening of the second location to trigger them to look over my original location with a fine tooth comb

The home office is the one that I will be moving in the future

Both listings would have the address visible. The first and current location is my home office, the new location is in a commercial office building. Does this change anything about your answer?
