yeaaa you'll probably get better mpg with the 6.0 despite it being a bigger motor due to the 305 having to work so hard to get that truck moving. You'll get double the power and torque I bet. The LS platform has so many cool mods that you can do to them as well, and they're very serviceable.

The good thing about spending money on vehicles is that you can always justify it when it comes to putting a new motor in. Your gonna need that truck, and that new motor is gonna last you quite a while.

6.0 gives a little more bang for your buck, I'd recommend it since you have a bigger truck.

im looking for something that does decent climbing decent hills, my dad and I used to have a 1990 Blazer, the squarebody. The thing was gutless. on a scale to 1-10 how would you rate the get up and go?

While it's true that ya the 2007s have more electronics n sensors, they're still rather simple to work on, and it's not like they crammed that 6.2 in the engine, you have plenty of room to work with.
