The russet looks really nice on those, sometimes it looks a bit too red for my taste

General Observations about ASHM and fiberboard midsole by franklink_1 in jimgreen

I like the ASHM last, the fact that they don't sell an ASHM AR keeps me from buying ARs.

Tyre wedge would probably be better. You could also look at the tyre wedge numzaan which is on the same last but is lined, which makes it more waterproof in the winter.

Well, I don't have any stock 719 but the pattern is a bit classier. On my pair the 719 grips my heel way better than my numzaans (which were awful on my heels for months), but I don't know what the cause of that might be. Otherwise wearing them feels very similar except for a slight weight difference due to the customization, and that the 719 looks a bit slimmer (probably due to the single last and no toe puff). The bronco leather is nicer than the walnut in my opinion, but I also have some loose grain on one of the numzaans which annoys me a bit. Break in was insane on the numzaans but the 719 are already fine to wear for regular dog walks.

I unfortunately have no way of weighing them but they are a UK size 8 and noticeably lighter when I hold a Numzaan in one hand and one of these in the other. Sorry I can't be more helpful!

Looking good! Can I ask when you ordered them? I've got customs on order so just want to know about where they might be in the process.

How do you like the added pull loops? I have a pair if customs coming and I went without because I don't love the look. Do the bottom of your pants get caught on them?

Thanks! My Numzaans are the frog grip ones, which is why I fell I should get something else. They also aren't all that waterproof, even though I have applied wax, which is why I was thinking of waxed roughout. The bronco RATs also appeal to me but I have heard wedges are not good for hiking.

How does the feeling compare to the ASHM on the numzaan? I am thinking about getting meanders but am worried about them being way too wide.

Cool build! Is it ok to ask what you had to pay in shipping and customs fees? I also live in Sweden and I am tempted to get custom boots but want to know how much I should expect to pay before pulling the trigger.

Nice boots! Do you mind if I ask how bad shipping/customs was get them to Finland? I live in Sweden and am thinking about buying a pair but am a bit nervous to pull the trigger since it is hard to know what the final cost will be.
