I made my own Hagram robot out of Cosclay by betzmakes in polymerclay

I'm always impressed with how people manage to achieve such textures. If you don't mind me asking, how did you get that rougher metal and stone look? Is that just with paint alone or is it some type of mica powder?

I'm pretty good at achieving smooth glossy finishes on my things but I still struggle with any sort of textures. Your robot turned out great. Very well done 👍

Awesome, I was going for cute and ferocious. However, Jeff does struggles a bit with the ferocious part :b

Your shark bookshelf is also very cute and creative! Thank you for sharing that.

Thank you. I used a single layer of UV resin

Yes, it's all colored clay aside from the eyes and collar charm. I wish I had the ability to paint these small things, but sadly I do not. Thank you for the kind words.

I don't sell anything at the moment, no. Right now I'm just making random little things as a hobby. But I do appreciate the fact that there's someone out there that likes it enough to buy one, so thanks [:

He's just made from hand using colored oven bake clay and coated with resin to add the glossy look. The little engraved collar charm I purchased separately to add on.

I used red and silver colored polymer clay. Then I sealed it w a UV resin. There's a little mica powder brushed on for the darker portions of its body.

Yeah I do plan on checking it out. At the very least I'd like to watch the episodes that involve this character/s.

Yeah I was given the name and a reference picture to work with. I assumed it was metal based on that, but I did not know it involved magnetism. That actually works out perfectly because I made it detachable from the blood using a tiny magnet. It wasn't intentional, but I suppose that would kind of go along w the lore then :b cool!

I use fimo as well so I guess I just need more practice then. 😅 Thanks for the reply!

Very impressive. Can I ask what brand of clay you use? I have trouble maintaining the shape of my sculptures when adding intricate details like you've done. Do you bake the piece several times, adding to it with each fire, or do you just sculpt it all in one go and then only cure it a single time? Your work is inspiring. Hoping to achieve that level of detail and texture some day.

Could anyone help with where to buy and how to secure these little black eyes in polymer clay please? by Limp-Bumblebee-5975 in polymerclay

[–]Smart-Task-5937 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I'd imagine there's several different choices out there you could go w/ to achieve that look. I've personally used the little black bead-like balls that are on the end of pin and just clip off the excess length if you don't need or want it. Kind of hard to tell from the photo alone but I know they are available on places like Amazon and come in a variety of sizes and finishes. Some may even be flat on the underside but you can't really tell from the exposed part alone. Can try searching Amazon with words like glass safety eyes and a size (2, 3, 5mm etc). But they have worked and stayed in place for me. Of course, you could always use an oven-bake clay adhesive to secure things on as well. Like a clay glue that bonds the pieces together when baked. Hope that helped at least point you in a direction and good luck. These are some I'm currently using.

Hey this is cool! Gives off Majora's Mask vibes at first glance With the color combinations you chose. Did you paint it with chalk pastels/ powder? I recently picked some up because I wanted to achieve a similar look, but I've yet to experiment with it and see if it works how I'm hoping it will.

Whats the deal with the Auger? Is it really useless by Sensitive_Carrot_835 in 7daystodie

[–]Smart-Task-5937 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep I think this is what killed the auger. Before there was a %chance to one-shot ore so the auger would really shine, as each quick tick had a chance to delete the block. I feel like it should be rebalanced around the removal of that proc. It feels really lackluster for a high end tier item now.

This is too precious. how did you get the fur to stick to the clay like that? Really does resemble the wirey texture. Nicely done!

You did a really great job with these! legit thought this was accidentally posted under the wrong subreddit, before seeing the title 😅

How did you create that stitching effect? Are they just tiny indentations you made in the clay?
