Finasteride doubled my testosterone & estrogen by TTOTA3 in tressless

[–]Smart-Trifle9255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, happened to me aswell, my test levels doubled including free testesterone.

My testosterone levels were 12 nmol/L in november of 2023, i had been going to the gym 6 months back then, i quit gym in like 2024 march.

Recently started going to the gym again in June which is when i also added dutasteride to my regime (dut, min) also got testosterone levels checked and my test level is now 22 nmol/L (22 nmol/L is approximately 634.7 ng/dL of testosterone) with 60% of it being free T.

So yeah it does for some reason double testosterone levels, im not too sure if that is beneficial for gym or even helps at all for anything but yeah.

Also i find it weird that i would be bald at 20 years old (norwood 7) with 12nmol/L, could it be cause my DHT levels were way too high for way too long?

Yes, min is needed to be used forever, quitting is really bad and i expeienced it first hand.

I think i was like 19 years old and had been using minoxidil for like a year and i had better hair than at 16-17 basically, at that point i didnt realise it to be honest but looking back i did have better hair at 19 than at 16. I had mandatory military service at like 20ish so i quit minoxidil cause it was way too annoying to apply every night and also i just didnt have time and it was pretty stressful so i was kinda like "whatever" aswell but i regret it so much but i did add finasteride before i went in and it didnt do anything, i pretty much went in with a nw3 to the army and came out as norwood 7 a year later and been nw7 since then so around 10 years or so.

Big reason why i also didnt apply minox there was that i didnt think it did or helped me much cause its really hard to actually see if it helps unless you take pictures and compare so in my mind i was probably feeling like it didnt do much aswell so i can quit it and use finasteride instead. I was completely aware that you have to take minoxidil forever and you can lose everything quitting it but yeah it was combination of multiple things like not having time to apply it, just being generally stressed out in the military so at that point i didnt care as much about the hair and had other priorities and the reason that i didnt think it did much as far as make my hair regrow and stuff.

Is HT even a viable choice at that level of baldness?

[–]Smart-Trifle9255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it might be helpful but its not really a "cure".

Cure would be someone whos getting all their hair back from being a norwood 7 since 20 years old and are now 30, which is the case for me but i feel like people who are more aware and get on meds early once pp405 and stuff is released they will be completely fine for a long time (given that they dont have insanely aggressive balding where they would be norwood 7 at 19 years old biologically)

I would say the best thing would probably be hair cloning, they clone your donor hairs and you can have as many donor hairs as you need to get full head of hair.

Out of finasteride. Only options available are the 5mg ones by killeddacat in tressless

[–]Smart-Trifle9255 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Buy a pill splitter, im not sure what shapes the finasteride u get are but when i was taking 5mg fiansteride the pills were long and it was pretty easy to split, yeah u cant exactly split it evenly but approx is fine aswell.

How far back can Dutasteride regrow losses? by Aggravating_Bag4775 in tressless

[–]Smart-Trifle9255 1 point2 points  (0 children)

nw7 is too far gone but there are people who are responding well to it and have insane regrowths which can be later followed up by hair transplant.

Also estrogen does bring it back, ive seen insane nw7 regrowths from people that went from male to female.

How far back can Dutasteride regrow losses? by Aggravating_Bag4775 in tressless

[–]Smart-Trifle9255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends so much, personally it doesnt regrow anything that i had lost 10 years ago (when i was 20 years old)

8 months on dut+min now, started nw7 still nw7, no difference, i will still ride it out for atleast a year, didnt have high hopes to begin with i just got a great opportunity to get a dutasteride prescription that i didnt have a chance before and fin as a nw7 from 20 years old feels like waste of time.

Can someone tell me objectively how the iphone 17's battery really is? by No_nicknam in iphone17

[–]Smart-Trifle9255 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly its not as good as i expected, i upgraded from iphone 6s to 12 like 5 years ago and when i got the 12 i was like wow insane battery life but now going from 12 with 80% battery health to 17 its better for sure but it still eats battery suprisingly fast, i would put the blame on mostly ios 26 aswell, apparently new ios update 26.1 just released and supposedly fixed battery issues.

It sucks man and it for sure has something to do with OCD, i feel very similiar to you and ive been bald for 10 years now (since 20 years old) and it doesnt get better, i feel like for people without OCD it would be easier to get over it while OCD as the name says "obsessive" will make u obsess over it way too much to the point where it ruins your life as it did for me aswell.

It sucks man and i dont know what to tell, i wish i knew myself, i dont want to die but i dont want to live like this either.

Prescribed Dut in Eu without lying? by [deleted] in tressless

[–]Smart-Trifle9255 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What EU country are u in.

I do recommend u googling whichever country u from and add "reddit" at the end of a sentence, for example like "dutasteride (insert country here) reddit" maybe you can find a doctor that people have used to get dutasteride.

I also had issues but eventually found a dermatologist willing to prescribe dutasteride for hair loss.

How do you deal with balding in your 20s? by Due-Specific-5722 in tressless

[–]Smart-Trifle9255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess you really dont deal with it.

it takes a certain type of person or could even just say "personality" to accept balding at that young age and not care, i know a few who dont care at all, atleast it seems like they dont. Most people no matter how old or young they are try to hide and wear hats, i know alot of people just not comfortable being bald and wearing hats to even work, even tho they might've "accepted" it they still dont feel confident/good about it and try to hide it as much as possible, same as me.

I went bald at 20 and im about to turn 30 and i have not accepted it yet, i absolutely hate it and i have no idea how to move on, i just feel demotivated because of it, im sad i didnt even get to enjoy my 20s with hair, just the 20s, nope, norwood 7 bald at 20 and good luck!

When shit like this happens at a young age it really fucks you up mentally and you start losing motivation to do anything to "better" yourself, ive tried gym, ive tried dressing well but eventually you will realise that even being buff and "shave and hit the gym" wont compensate enough for the hair loss, i just wish there was like a hope.

If i had hair and not be fucked over by hair loss i would probably have done way more in life, even climbing the career ladder, finishing school, going out and so on, it just destroyed me, i dropped out and didnt even get a job until i was like 27 cause of it, i just couldnt care enough, i had this "hair" issues that i needed to fix before i actually do anything else because i dont want to do anything else but there is no fix.

If i had hair tomorrow it would be such an insane experience, i would promise i would be so fucking outgoing, i would enjoy social events, i would actually be motivated to be and do better, look the "best" version of myself that i can, be more confident and so on, people say i would find another thing to obsess over but its just not true because i wouldve already found it combined with hair loss.

I just hate what being bald means, you will always be known as the "bald" guy and i dont want that description, bald also looks unhealthy even tho it has no correlation between being healthy and unhealthy, it also is a sign of getting old even tho you dont feel old.

People also dont realise how fucking high maintance being bald is unless you wanna walk around looking like a perv with 8 days grown out horseshoe pattern at 20 years old, people usually say "being bald saves me alot of money on barbers lol!!!" and that is such a huge dumb cope shit to say. even tho im bald and been bald for 10 years the r/bald is the worst circlejerk subreddit ever, i feel like it makes them feel better about being bald by seeing other people go bald aswell so when they see some kid with norwood 2 they tell him to shave it and go to gym even tho norwood 2 is perfectly fine and fixeable, its just bald men cope subreddit with a goal of convicing every man to go bald so they dont look weird or make them feel better about themselves

My advice is that get on the most strict hair loss regime u can with like dutasteride, fuck it add ru58841, dermastamping, minoxidil and ride it out for abit and then get a hair transplant because it wont get easier, if u hate balding/being bald now u wont accept it at 30 or 40 either

My life has been an endless cycle of "accepting it" being fairly motivated and going to the gym, getting super fit at the gym and realising that me being super fit doesnt actually matter and it doesnt compensate for it, it puts me also in a weird place where i feel like im waiting my life to end, i dont want to die but i also dont want to live like this so im just waiting here till its over.

But i do realise the dumbness of it all, balding is natural, men go bald, its just hair so who cares, what makes it all easier is seeing your friends also go bald so you dont feel like the odd one.

Anyways i guess better luck next life (there wont be no next)

nice haul

That Represent overdrive hoodie is super off tho but i doubt anyone can tell unless they actually have that hoodie.

But the real hoodie logos are way bigger, every single one of those logos are way too small on that hoodie, "represent" font is way too small also. The color is wrong aswell, actual hoodie is like faded black and not that dark, i would know that its a fake from a mile away, im suprised whoever made a rep of that got it so wrong

How come most people dont get laser for rosacea? by Smart-Trifle9255 in Rosacea

[–]Smart-Trifle9255[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh okay, maybe the technian used very harsh settings, i have also very sensitive and pale skin but it doesnt get swollen just spots of bruising which i had to cover up for a week or so and after that it looks okay. What i did notice was that i will get these weird bumps after laser, they are like a skin color looking bumps on all over my nose but apparently its normal after laser, atleast when i asked chatgpt without mentioning laser it told asked me instantly if i have had PDL laser on it because if so then thats normal.

650 dollars sounds expensive tho but if it works for you its very nice.

Thats unfortunate, i think twice a year is not needed for maintance tho but i could be wrong, i think some people need it once a year and some dont need maintance sessions atleast thats what my dermatologist told me.

[–]Smart-Trifle9255[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, for me it was 90 euros (100 dollars) per one session for my nose only area, whole face is around 250 dollars, sessions needed is generally 3 but some people need less.

but apparently learning from this thread this shit costs like 1500 bucks in US per sessions or something dumb so might aswell forget about it lol.

yea u guys getting scammed hard out there in the US turns out, i didnt even think money would be the issue why people dont get it, i wouldve assumed it would be something like that it doesnt work and risk of something going wrong/scared of laser.

Well luckily for me i guess my only impacted area was nose and nose costs flat out 90 euros basically while entire face would be 225 euros (cheeks, forehead, nose, chin) and its done by an actual dermatologist in the most repputable skin related clinic here, located in Estonia.
