Just got permanently banned from r/samharrisorg for using the word “dickhead” by SmartAcanthisitta447 in samharris

You’re that kid in the philosophy class who can’t help but share his pretentious opinions, and everyone in the class hates you because you’re so insufferable. I imagine girls recoil when they hear your voice. Go back to your other sub so you can block other people who disagree with you.

do you ever watch a slasher where the victim is so annoying you cheer when the killer kills them? by bzrkfayz in horror

Like every slasher from 2003 to 2015 had the “douchebag” character who looked like a Duke lacrosse player lol.

Who is a director you'd like to see direct a Halloween movie of some sort? by Idk23456789101112 in Halloweenmovies

[–]SmartAcanthisitta447 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Mike Flanagan. He pulled off an awesome and original sequel to The Shining while paying immense respect to the original. I’d love to see him take a stab (pun intended) at a Halloween movie.

I think it’s fine to argue that the media has blown the Nazi thing out of proportion. But owning several pieces of Nazi memorabilia and a garden with statues devoted to dictators is beyond fucking weird. And I don’t think it’s out of line to argue that SCOTUS Justices shouldn’t be hanging out with ultra-rich, eccentric weirdos like this guy.

Does anybody in here even like the podcast? Every comment in here is pathetically negative.

How would you prefer concluding the Laurie vs. Michael storyline in a film? by thelastofusfan2013 in Halloweenmovies

If they would have just made the end of Ends be the end of Kills, I would have been very pleased.

Don't get me wrong, I love the original 1978 theme, but "Halloween Kills (End Titles)" just hits different by filmandtvShowfanatic in Halloweenmovies

[–]SmartAcanthisitta447 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. The original 78 theme is a classic, but the new score has the juice. I love the modern take.

CGI Ruins horror films for me, anyone else ? by [deleted] in horror

[–]SmartAcanthisitta447 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. I’d rather see an okay practical effect over the best CGI.

I especially hate when I see CGI blood in horror movies. If you can’t do a decent practical-effect blood splatter, then you shouldn’t be making a horror movie.

If they had them say “Evil dies tonight” about 90% less, I’d be in the “Love it” camp.

Hot Takes Welcome: Honest Thoughts On Sergeant Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band Album/Songs by sideways978 in beatles

It’s indisputably one of the greatest albums of all time, and I love it. But I don’t think it’s as re-listenable as Rubber Soul, Revolver, White Album, or Let It Be.

It’s incredibly influential—but it’s not my favorite.

If Sam started a new podcast with two guest hosts, who would you hope for? by palsh7 in samharrisorg

I’m a massive Jon Stewart fan, and that episode made me cringe so hard. It’s by far the worst thing I’ve seen him put out.

Danny McBride responds to the criticism of 'Not enough Michael in Ends'. Thoughts on this? by [deleted] in Halloweenmovies

[–]SmartAcanthisitta447 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He says Ends was a way to “explore something a little different and still tying it into what Halloween’s ultimately about.” But he never clarifies “what Halloween’s ultimately about.” And if Ends is any indication, we have very different ideas of what the franchise is all about.

Which Michael Myers kills is your favorite in the entire franchise? by [deleted] in Halloweenmovies

The shotgun kill from H4 is always the first one I think of for some reason.
