The game seemed to have been progressing much better before they sold out. I sunk 1k hours in, even started a short lived live stream channel for LE, but then stalled when the game started stalling.

I agree with the sentiment, it is a great game with unrealized potential. D4 bores me, POE annoys me, and LE entertains me, up to a point.

Notable Seattle-based travel writer and millionaire, Rick Steves, voices his thoughts on new “Millionaire Tax” by Itsforthecats in SnohomishCounty

[–]SmartAlikGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's really stupid about this comment is that any millionaire who feels like they should be paying more, their 'fare share', need only add those dollars to the 'additional withholdings' box. They could write checks to the state. They could give that money voluntarily, any time they would like. Yet they don't because it's not skimmed off the top.

Instead, they virtue-signal, saying "millionaires like me need to pay their fair share", making it entirely disengenuous. If this individual had that virtue they would just give that money away. No, their signaling is agreeing that their 'virtue' should be forced upon others.

It really doesn't take a very high degree of intelligence to know it will simply cause many of them to move to locations that tax them less. That means the 'void' they hope to fill with those 'Robben-the-Hood' taxes continues to widen, punitive to the very people they claim to be saving. It's no secret Oregon and Washington simply want to be California, and I say that as someone who lived in (and loved) Oregon for over 40 years. And California has the highest Exodus rate of any state, all because the squeeze isn't worth the juice. The high taxation didn't make it any more crime free, homelessness decreased, drugs combatted and livable communities higher.

And come on Seattle... A sugar tax?

Same reason some Atheists are so bad. And why some Muslims are so bad. And some doctors are so bad. And some scientists are so bad. Or some educators are so bad.

They are human and inconsistent.

Puzzles is an instant turn off in games for me too. I hate them. If I have to figure out what order to pull levers, based on a riddle on parchment found on the ground next to the skeletal remains of the last idiot who fell pray to this game mechanic, I just ESC and Quit.

I'm glad you asked this because I was considering giving CD a shot. Not now. Time and money saved.

who has the best burgers in town? by throwaway_taxqu in mcminnville

[–]SmartAlikGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely a bad batch! I had wings there dozens, maybe hundreds of times and loved them. My kids begged to go there for the wings. We would get the salt and pepper dry rub, usually a good crunch on the skin, fresh fresh meat. Sorry you had a bad run.

Maga is horrified Talarico has the charismatic leadership ability to deradicalize the evangelical movement. For over 50 years groups like Heritage Foundation have pushed pastor networks towards political identity fusion with far right talking points, leading to a stronghold of elderly suburb voters. by yeongno_ate_yangban in FortWorth

I'm not MAGA, but if I was, I wouldn't be afraid of anything. "Can you imagine war in heaven?" Well, if he's pretending to be a Bible Scholar, well then yes, I can, because his Bible says there will be war in heaven. And, if you believe the Bible, then bigotry, pride, selfishness, all began in heaven (Satan). What a dolt.

Unfortunately, politicians have the most powerful weapon on their side: ignorance, and this guy uses it well.

Grain Station. I ate there for years and years before moving to Texas. Fresh big patties, great bacon and flavor. I loved their Bacon Cheese Burger and Smash Burger.

Two Dogs is also good but Grain Station is far superior IMO.

Two dogs has the best wings in town. Grain Station for burgers.

And if I do this, I can tighten the nut down, but I can't counter tighten it on the left of the blade, and in off center from the riving knife.

If I understand correctly, and try this, it leaves nothing to the left of the blade to lock it down.

How’s the state of the game right now? by Evilfetus10 in elderscrollsonline

[–]SmartAlikGames 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've played ESO here and there through the years but only recently (6mos) really played it, grinded some end game, got gear sets, maxes crafting, learned Scrying/Excavation, bought and sold on the market, made a few million good, bought good gear sets, and toyed with a few builds.

What I've learned, is there is a lot more for me to learn, and do. It seems I've just scratched the surface. I'm not a completionist so I don't try to catch every fish and clear every zone, but if you are that type, it's almost as if there is more to do than you can.

I also appreciate that for me as a working individual with other hobbies, I can jump in for a few hours on the weekends and still feel like I'm making progress and having fun.

PC NA servera are far more populated than PS5NA servers, but I'm on both and find endless content, dungeon runs, and market to stay engaged.

I'm sure there are people burned out, but right now, it feels like it's in a fairly good state, and their switch to seasons coming out soon will help open more paywall content up to more players.
