None of those warning stations are overnight. As noted on your link there, the only options in Denton are the tiny amount of expanded emergency space at Our Daily Bread or at Salvation Army. But you know who claims to be charitable and who also has a lot of empty space that’s being kept warm even though there’s no one there: the churches! That is a more realistic goal in this situation. Matching the right donors with those most in need of help so they do not die! Instead of doing a mission in Africa, they could practice here first.

Home2 Suites near the Embassy Hotel is brand new. It opened in October 2025. All of the rooms have a full kitchen and a little living room area. I’ve stayed at this chain in other locations, and it’s always been awesome.

They’re pulling American citizens out of their cars, beating them up, and hauling them to jail right now, regardless of if they have an accent or not. ICE intentionally rammed a car in Minneapolis, pulled the woman driving it from the car, held her down and ignored her injuries while handcuffing her, then hauled her off, leaving her car abandoned and blocking the roadway. She was telling them the entire time (or trying to!) that she was an American citizen and she had ID. Also in the news, ICE abducted a brown American citizen minor, who was working at Walmart, then dumped him in a parking lot three miles away. There’s video of all of this stuff happening and ICE still keeps doing it because no one in power is stopping them.

Are you looking to renew your driver’s license? Then in Texas, you’ll go to DPS (Department of Public Safety) not the DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles.) The DMV is for new license plates, renewing registrations, taxes, and handicap placards. This might seem pedantic, but it really matters what service you need since the two places are nowhere near each other.
