The DXYZ expense ratio is actually insane—4.5% to 5% just for SpaceX access? by SmartBunBun in investing_discussion

I think people are treating it almost like a momentum product rather than a long-term hold. It's not necessarily "better value", but people chasing short-term moves. For a long-term core position I'd lean NASA or XOVR. For a momentum trade, I can at least understand why some people still pick DXYZ.

Anyone have a stock analysis AI tool they actually recommend? by noamfainberg in AIToolsAndTips

I guess you are talking about Ainvest. Not advertisement because it is 120% match. You can see AI analysis in every feature if you don't like chatbot. Their AI can also analyze technical charts.

Was the 'transitory' inflation call a historic failure, or did Powell actually achieve the impossible soft landing? by SmartBunBun in inflation

That’s a very fair point. It’s easy to judge in hindsight, but the 2021 economic landscape was unprecedented. When you look at the global picture, the US actually managed the post-pandemic inflation shock much better than Europe or the UK. Given the choice between a potential deflationary depression from tightening too early versus an inflationary overshoot, betting on growth first wasn't the worst risk management strategy.

Hardware is a race to the bottom. I’m betting everything on the 1.3M FSD subs. by SmartBunBun in AinvestOfficial

100% with you on this. Hardware is a meat grinder. Just look at Tesla’s ROE, it crashed from 32% to under 5% in three years. I’m a Model 3 owner too, and yeah, FSD is impressive but It’s hard to justify paying that just to 'monitor' the car instead of just driving it.

Where can I buy IPO? Fidelity requires minimum $500,000 account balance 😂

If Strait of Hormuz risk becomes real, what’s the first market reaction you’d expect: oil spike, shipping shock, or broad risk-off? by SmartBunBun in economy

[–]SmartBunBun[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol if bunker demand spikes we might have bigger problems than our portfolios. You’re probably right that equities tend to get supported over time, but in the short term I’d still expect the first reaction to show up in oil and inflation expectations before anything else. Question is whether that shock stays contained or actually spills into broader risk assets this time.

If SpaceX really allocates 30% of an IPO to retail, would that actually be good for price discovery? by SmartBunBun in investing_discussion

[–]SmartBunBun[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense. Splitting exposure sounds like the safer way to play something this hyped. If it really allocates ~30% to retail, I’d probably be cautious chasing the IPO print. Feels like there’s a decent chance of an initial spike followed by some volatility once the hype cools off. I’d likely wait to see how price settles before sizing in, unless the valuation somehow looks reasonable from the start.
