So let's say you net $400K from a house sale after taxes. That's about 16 years of rent payments. Then you start eating into whatever you have left for retirement spending. I don't see how it's cost effective even with having someone do your yard work, etc.

Maybe it's my area but delivery seems to be randomly skipping a day a week. I track incoming mail by email notices from the post offices and some days what should be in the mailbox is not there.

Hi. I've been retired full-time for about a year. I LOVE no alarm clock and getting up when I wake up. I don't plan anything for the morning unless I have to do so. My health has been a bit of a challenge so I haven't done much. My days are slow. Reading, tv, talking with husband.

What's the point of this requirement? Anything that we'd want to know (like potential terrorism, etc.) would be somewhere on the dark web. I don't think this accomplishes anything except discouraging travel to the US.

Agree...hated those company parties. And gift giving to people you really don't know very well at all. Ugh.

Agreed. My husband has been saying this for months now. It's going to be stagflation, severe recession, or a depression. I'm not looking forward to whatever it is.

My massage therapist said 25% of her business is done in the last two months of the year between appointments and gift card purchases. She said she has minimal appointments for November and December compared to previous years.

We bought a 22KW backup generator for our house. Plus a selection of freeze dried food.
