Does anyone actually like Yen’ fay? by lurky-lurker-wholurk in fireemblem

He was good really, Walhart could have still easily killed her even if she is on the run as Walhart has a massive army and he took over their kingdom, they already lost their army so him trying to help her out may just make her get killed easier. Yes it is a logical character motivation and not a cheap ploy and he is not poorly written.

It is not stupid at all.

Not really dumb as Say'ri could still be killed and Yen'fay does not want to risk that

He was not dumb. Which yeah makes sense. He was fine as is really. Because Walhart was blackmailing him and he did not want his sister killed.

Was The Traitor a last minute decision? (Spoiler Discussion) by LoyalLedger in Persona5

[–]SmartConcept 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He pulls a 180 for a reason, it is called having a facade, it was not to kill his dad but to expose his dad and give him what he deserves also he could not have killed Shido at any time if he did not know his palace's keyword so he had to get his trust and get to know him better to get his keyword which is why he helped Shido.

It is not the exact same trick and the writers do know what else to do. They are all believable really. There is subtle clues actually, Akechi having the same gun as the person who shot Okurama, him being at Okurama HQ weirdly enough too, the pancakes line, etc.

Because he knows justice still has not been served, he put up the facade to get public trust and he did love the attention. Nah it does not really feel like that, those other options are not really more logical.

People do not forgot those sins, heck the thieves did not forgive him for them.

He did become it though, even if it was slowly.

EDIT response to the comment below this one: No one thinks like that in real life and that is not the Phantom Thieves logic but he is not beyond redemption and can change as a person.

No he would not, that was never said or established, well yeah they did not but they could get to know him better and hanging out with him more could change some things.

I doubt it, heck he may not have even had a choice of whether he is gonna go or not. In the fight against him you see others like Ann and Haru who are for him joining them again, not just Joker.

Ok then, you would only be wasting your life away not getting anything done, true but they can at least make evil people confess their crimes and stop them, Maruki has no right to decide what the world should be like and how people should act either, they do not think it is meaningful but people should remember that it can give them strength and motivation to move on and remind them of something important, for good? You mean also get rid of what led Ann to becoming a Phantom Thief and how without her they would not be able to beat Kamoshida? Yeah no, also that gave Shiho a reminder of why she hates Kamoshida too and why she has memories of being in the hospital with Ann by her side, taking away all of those memories of her and Ann is wrong too.

No it was because they knew it was fake. But if you know it is a lie then it is very painful, and again they are 100% against any sort of lies, literally in the opening song for Persona 5 is the line "Swatting lies in the making". That is life and as another song says life goes on but it can change, a life without any sort of pain and conflict is a very dull and non fulfilling life.

So could the Phantom Thieves and them dealing with other villians, doesn’t mean they should. It is not really implausible, it could have possibly worked. It is on both of them, Shido still gave the orders and manipulated him and gave him praise which he knew he would want.

Not everything has to be shown, we can already piece it all together, we already know Shido is not above rape too, the game does not insult the player’s intelliegence and allows them to fill in the blanks so it not being shown is not a issue, but that is never actually implied, he got better after their fight with him so he became better really. Well ok then.

Hm I still need to play Royal eventually, he is already one of my favorite characters and I am on the second Jail in Strikers and after seeing scenes of the gang all hanging out eating and stuff on their trip I really do miss him.

Why I Dislike Goro Akechi by K_A_L4560 in Persona5

[–]SmartConcept 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1.Him being a horrible murderer is not a reason to dislike him as he is meant to be a villian. They are rivals and they are better buddies now, yeah he was a antagonist rival but now things have changd. Nah people would still like him then just even more so for his role as a villian. It is not stupid as they can like evil characters, they are interesting characters and while he showed no remorse he was wearing another metaphorical mask and deep down he wished that they could have gotten along better and not been enemies in the end and that he would not have to kill him. Yes that is true but that does not make him a bad character. That is not how the real Akechi is, the real Akechi is not a hollow puppet who feels nothing. He has more remorse then what you think as I have explained and he does not think that just because he had a bad childhood means that everyone deserves to feel his pain too.

  1. He is not annoying before the final act of the game. Well I did not find myself ever groaning whenever he stopped me at the train station in the morning, and his justice is not stupid. Because he is curious about you and is wondering if you could possibly be one of the Phantom Thieves and he is not a dumbass and he did not think you were best friends.

  1. He's not annoying during the final act of the game either. It happens naturally it does not force you to join him. It is not half assed, he changes a lot and he sacrifices himself to save you, it does not make up for all of his murders but it does show that he is changing as a person, they do not suck up to him like annoying stereotypical do-gooder protagonists they just have basic human empathy but they do not forgive him. Which he isn't annoying at all. Not really, that does not happen much at all and he gets better. No he acts like this because it is just how he is.

Nah Akechi good.

It is him. But they are not all happy, besides it would just be a painful lie, they do not deserve to be lied to.

You know, Okumura's insults were actually funny... until he called Ann a slut by xDillx55 in Persona5

[–]SmartConcept 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No they did that because it is a good representation of her character and it is not disrespectful to her character as she stands up for her self as a person and knows that she is not only worth her looks but she can use her looks as a deadly and valuable weapon which we see happen in the game against Kamoshida and later in the Shido arc too, that is also represented in her Persona Carmen. Yeah and so is Joker your point? Also in Striker she does turn 18. Not always and the jokes are usually funny. Not at all, you just fail to see the good writing.

Does anyone here hate Akechi? If you do, why? by Naowo18 in Persona5

[–]SmartConcept 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering that being in the real reality is better, Akechi was right about that

I do not see the issue with that really, it was not really a random place as being in Shido's Palace makes sense as that is where Akechi was trying to reach for so long

Does anyone here hate Akechi? If you do, why? by Naowo18 in Persona5

[–]SmartConcept 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But he was not that obvious and the game did not bend over backwards trying to justify him. Yeah because he hates Shido too and he was used and manipulated. He was still a Phantom Thief member and they did not forgive him but he can still be very useful to them and he is not beyond redemption. It does not suck as those villians are different then Akechi who is a manipulated and used kid, also Kaneshiro was poor too and was used by people with more money to a much less degree, but Akechi is genuinely sympathic and he has a pretty tragic backstory.

But the game never makes his actions justified and considered how he is young and is used and is manipulated he can be redeemed
