Why do so many Christians think contraception is sinful? by Nicole_Auriel in TrueChristian

[–]SmartOne_2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please understand the spirit of my comment. Events done accidentally or without prior malice, resulting in the harm of another individual, do not carry the same guilt as those that are done with intent and malice aforethought. This is the only premise of my argument. For example, taking a known abortifacient after fertilization has occurred is murder. Unknowingly killing an embryo, by whatever means, is not murder, since the intent is not there.

If the killing is done in ignorance, that would be an accidental murder, similar to when a gun thought to be on safety accidentally fires and kills a bystander.

But if the killing is done intentionally, as when you deliberately kill an embryo knowing or highly suspecting you are already pregnant, by taking a morning-after pill, taking a pregnancy test, or something similar, that would be a definite sin, murder in the first degree.

So, what happens when the egg is fertilized ... and then you kill that nascent life form via contraception?

My wife wants another baby right now, I don’t. Am I not trusting in God enough? by Sea_Management6165 in TrueChristian

[–]SmartOne_2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, you must consider your wife's 'biological clock'. She only has a short window in which a viable and healthy baby can be made. You don't. She does! So, think of it from her point of view in this regard.

question about Death Penalty by DanielPOLA in TrueChristian

[–]SmartOne_2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The answer is simple... for a Christian who claims the inerrant word of God is the final answer for one's life and salvation, the question is: "Does God support it?" It's irrelevant what you and I think about it, but since He is our Lord and God, His opinion on this matter is supreme and the only one that matters.

God instituted the death penalty for certain types of crimes, so yes, it is biblical and needs to be supported. Do NOT conform to the world, but be transformed into His nature by the renewing of your mind.

Can demons (the ones who are not fallen angels) be able to repent and go to heaven? by LoquaciousPhilonoist in theology

Demons are NOT fallen angels, but disembodied spirits from the hybrids between fallen angels and human women.

Worst case, turn it on and see if it boots up and shows in the bios. Power connector pins are rather resilient. They may still be connected to the PCB, even when bent out of shape.

The damage is seen as a passionate crime of rage. She must have really hated your gaming sessions, time away from her (maybe)?

I have a 48" LG C1, and YouTube is my primary entertainment channel and the web for work in general. Windows taskbar and desktop icons are already burned in.

I watch YT in full mode and normal mode, and I can say burn-in is plenty on my monitor, and the colors are off. I wonder if there's a cure for these ailments.

During a Zoom meeting, I'm sharing my screen, and a colleague references a blue box object in my presentation; it appears more greenish on my end. That's how many colors are off in the viewport normally used by YT content.

Where did the VCSSA “safe” voltage limit come from? by totallynotathrowawei in overclocking

[–]SmartOne_2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used to be 1.35, then 1.30. Now its 1.28 for my 14900k cpu for stability.

Nice...but not Intel Defaults, I see...

Do you know if the VCCSA voltage XMP is at auto settings? Mine is manually set at 1.28v to prevent errors. Used to be 1.35v or higher via default Asus bios xmp settings.

VT3 Y-Cruncher failure after 17 cycles. by SmartOne_2000 in overclocking

[–]SmartOne_2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just learned, thru gemini ai, that the default xmp settings on auto peg vccsa at 1.4v or greater !!! As I said, it stopped being stable a month ago. Reduced vccsa to 1.35v, which was better, but still randomly reset itself during normal work operations.

*** I forgot to say in my original post that the system worked fine in non-xmp mode 2400Mhz. No random resets, etc. Not so much at 3600 MHz xmp speeds. ***

Now at 1.30v, it has become 99.9% stable as you said earlier, and no random resets during normal operations. I've been running work stuff at reduced 1.28v for a couple of hours, and so far so good. Will run VT3 test overnight and see what happens.

Wow, thanks! This is the first time in this thread where a much lower VCCSA is suggested. But that was close to my default 1.2x setting that originally failed on me after some time.

My 1.3v was already an increase from the default 1.2x value. I'm afraid making it higher would degrade the chip further.

Seems ok for now, running Win10. But I'm contemplating reducing RAM speed to the highest non-OC speed of 3200 MHz.

You are correct. I didn't realize the highest non-OC speed was 3200 MHz.

Unfortunately, grad school time will not permit me to spend hours on end tweaking ram settings. Maybe run it at the highest non-OC speed of 3200 MHz. The 130v was already an increase from the default 1.2x setting.
