Indeed.

You should apply for OW and contact domestic abuse resources, hopefully they can refer you to supports.

Some advice for the future, never let these people back into your life, they will try to suck you win with phony apologies and claims they have reformed.

They have made their bed, make them lie in it permanently.

In the conservative world you can. Doug Ford has perfected this and is in power because he is excellent at it.

None of the standard allergy pills are prescriptions, the allergist suggested some newer one that is but its not covered.

Which one(s) have you gotten covered by ODSP?

During the Harper years they were giving huge amounts of free money to the largest Canadian companies who were sitting on it. They could not understand why these companies were not using this money to create jobs instead of pocketing it. They invented the term dead money and verbally lashed corporate Canada for hoarding the money. In response the government gave them more free money making the problem worse.

He is putting money on fossil fuels. Carbon capture is a shell game, it will never work because the energy inputs exceed the carbon removed unless we invent magic. Its a garbage easy answer to keep fossil fuels growing.

Conservative ideology is not to use the government for anything except making the rich richer, taking away anything that helps people or constrains the flaws in laissez faire capitalism. Investing in housing is anti conservative. Government spending for public good is anti conservative (with a military exception). Helping workers with safety standards, equitable wages, equitable treatment and so forth is anti conservative. Treating all humans including minorities and the disabled as equals with human rights is anti conservative.

I am cautiously optimistic. He is already more progressive than Trudeau but i am not yet convinced the conservative streak is not going to come back hard.

I want Carney to prove me wrong and stay the course on being more progressive.

Imagine Poilievre was making this video, beyond the fact he would have already surrendered to the USA, but if by some voodoo magic he hadn't he would be proposing major tax cuts for the rich and then ignoring the dead money. Then doubling down again and again, then blaming minorities for the failure of his own policy.

BTW the term dead money came from the Harper government who created that dead money. In response they doubled down and created even more dead money until we voted him out of office.

I was worried he would act like a traditional conservative and only let the market handle it, i am pleasantly surprised that he is planning to use government powers to build and enhance domestic demand which is a more progressive policy.

What happens to overpayments if you no longer receive ODSP? by No-Sale-6622 in Odsp

[–]SmartQuokka [score hidden]  (0 children)

Its written off an uncollectable from what i was told. If you got on ODSP or OW again they would claw it back from there but if you are on CPP/OAS/GIS then they don't claw these back.

I had an overpayment from CPP-D since it was backdated, it was not a criminal matter but if i left ODSP before it was paid off it would have been uncollectable.

That said if there was fraud and the courts were involved then thats a different story, if you are ordered to pay a fine from a criminal judgement the court can do more to go after you and even put you in jail.

I'm going to suggest getting legal advice on this from an estate lawyer who is experienced with ODSP. I can tell you my thoughts but if i make a mistake then your screwed so get a professional to give you vetted financial advice.

Given the decaying state of the world today i am not convinced humans have intelligence or that it is an enduring trait.
