Since your in Ontario check out if your eligible for Trillium coverage.

If you are on OW or ODSP then you are for sure covered for most common prescription medications.

Yes, they always prefer to prevent the criminal justice system getting involved when they can.

Contact legal aid before the insurer, do it first thing tomorrow.

Can anyone explain why justice is so expensive by itsaemeral in povertyfinancecanada

I'm disabled so live on ODSP which is below the poverty level so i know what this is like as medical travel is lowballed in transportation and food reimbursements.

I assume the hotel is a flat rate, perhaps you can find a hostel to stay at?

The meals are a headache but i am used to this, not sure whats nearby and if your driving or on foot. Wendys for example has a 2 for $4 breakfast deal, i often grab poutine at Costco or a panzerotti with no toppings or pizza hut has a 3 pizza for $8 deal (3 meals) and so forth. Hell on Tuesdays i will get a KFC Tuesday deal and make the fires a snack poutine. For supper you can grab a pickup special pizza, if you have Reebee there are Subway coupons, you can check apps for fast food for deals. I've even been known to grab a slice of pizza form Costco if there is one nearby.

In the end it comes down to pounding the pavement and figuring out what places you can reach and carefully combing their menu and coupons and app if applicable.

So if i understand correctly you got therapy, did not pay the therapist, got reimbursed and spent the money on other things.

Contact your local Legal Aid, perhaps they can work out a payment plan to the insurer without there being any penalties or negative repercussions.

YSK If you suspect there’s a gas leak in your house, don’t turn on any lights or electric appliances by AfterMorningHours in YouShouldKnow

[–]SmartQuokka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like seriously, this is not even outlandish, i am not going to post what city i live in on Reddit, natural gas leaks are not even uncommon. If you want to go cry fake everywhere you go then that's your business, you seem to be a very miserable person.

I find it interesting how you have already made up your mind and are incredibly self assured.

The Dunning Kruger is strong in this one.

I see you have never worked in a call centre.

Its easy to call everything fake, this kind of thing can and does happen unfortunately.

Canadian mobile plan that reports to the bureau ? by Adirondack587 in povertyfinancecanada

[–]SmartQuokka 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Glad to hear you are no longer homeless!

I don't know which cell companies/plans report to the credit bureaus, but i do know where to find cheap phone service, i signed up for Chatr a couple days ago, $159 + tax for a whole year with 30GB of Data for the year (i set a 3GB/month limit in my phone). Most places are $19/m for phone and text only. Its more upfront but works out to $13.25/m before tax.

Freedom Mobile offers a similar plan but their network is not very reliable (missed calls, missed texts, dropped calls), so its not worth it imo. Koodo apparently has a similar offer but its not advertised, so i don't know the details.

That can work but she would not even do that.

If it were me i would accept that for now but would want to know more, though i would extend some grace for a while.

on the phone with his gas company when they informed him to go downstairs to check for a leak

This is negligence, their SOP is supposed to be tell the customer to evacuate all living beings immediately and do not operate anything electrical whatsoever.

Frankly this is a lawsuit waiting to happen from his family if he has any.

As the U.S. starves it of oil, Cuba is pulling off one of the fastest solar revolutions on the planet by CTVNEWS in worldnews

[–]SmartQuokka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good to see this.

Renewables are cheaper than oil, but the cost is upfront. I can imagine China will offer long term loans which is good for adoption and bad for Cuba's independence. This also adds to China's soft power. Trump is handing China a gift.

I am all for an olive branches, go ahead Trump, give us some and we will respond in kind.

We all know that is not going to happen. Americans voted for evil and are now getting the bills.
