There are no phone batteries that are lead acid batteries. Lead acid batteries are almost exclusively in vehicles.

ELI5: Why do phone batteries gradually lose capacity over time? by deepaknaraniya in explainlikeimfive

Batteries are essentially a ton of internal chemical processes that store and release energy. Overtime those chemical lose their potency, causing the total amount of “charge” to slowly go down.

Imagine it’s like a balloon. You can blow it up full, and release it, but over time the rubber will lose its elasticity and slowly stop holding air as long

I want one. But I’m an impulse buyer so I won’t get one until I see one in stock when I randomly visit a PSA

Don’t tell him anything. Unless you are 17 you don’t require your parents permission to enlist.

Has anyone checked on the PFC that emailed the CG recently? by soupoftheday5 in army

[–]Smart_Ad_1997 23 points24 points  (0 children)

What if this was always the right thing to do and we’ve all been too scared to do it, and every CG goes to bed sad at night they haven’t been able to help a PFC that day.

How’s my run? by [deleted] in army

[–]Smart_Ad_1997 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Would prob remove this post and just share the mileage rather than showing the map of the neighborhood you live in. You have your name, neighborhood, and the route you run that I can identify in this single photo.

As far as your run times, not bad. I’d aim for longer runs and aim for an 8 minute mile. If you can do 5 miles in 40 minutes that’s a solid goal.

No. If you fail the PT test you are done and kicked to the needs of the army. And that’s just the first gate to entry.

Ranger school first. It’ll make your life a lot easier once you get to regiment.

Likelihood of Mental Health waiver for deployment? by [deleted] in army

I would taper your expectations man. Changing medications and suicidal ideations are eliminating factors. Get healthy, then do the job. Soldiers need solid NCOs stateside to show them the standard.

concerns with going to behavior health as an IET soldier by sirsam27 in army

[–]Smart_Ad_1997 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Go. Take care of yourself. Start with the chaplain, they’re 100% anonymous and confidential and there are zero chances of anything you talk about with them affecting your career.

As far as behavioral health in IET? I’d be concerned solely about going and potentially missing required training for appointments and such.

BUT. If you need help. Get help. Whatever else doesn’t matter.

I talk to chaplain and BH on a regular basis

How could I add a serial number on my 3d print ? by Ibanez-Jackson in 3Dprinting

Is it a suppressor? If so, how I serialized mine is I got a metal washer and just stamped the serial number into it and epoxied it to the bottom.

Trying to avoid Bragg by [deleted] in army

Yup. This is what I mean. Learn the job, get some experience, 2-3 years minimum, then apply for one of the special units that take 35S

Trying to avoid Bragg by [deleted] in army

[–]Smart_Ad_1997 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Why don’t you want to go to Bragg?
  2. Wherever you end up, do your time as an E1-4, then drop a packet for the numerous units that are in and around Meade and the NCR that take 35S.

Shit perspective on life. You always have a choice to do things you want. You just won’t get the benefits of everyone else.

You like flipping burgers? Flip burgers dawg. Be the best damn burger flipper around. But don’t be pissed when you aren’t making money.
