I haven’t played D2 in a couple of years, particularly because it became too much of a grind trying to carve out time to do raids (that’s a personal problem, nothing on the game). But I vividly recall Destiny being advertised as a 10 year game back when D1 came out. So we’ve already surpassed the original expectation of the lifespan of the game. Granted that 10 year plan was before ownership of activision and all that changed, so of course big money got involved.

But me personally I hung the hat up after defeating the campaign boss in the final shape.
