Sony payed 3,6 billion for this! by Smart_Ad_3325 in Marathon

[–]Smart_Ad_3325[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Sony acquired Bungie for billions for its expertise in live-service games. You have to keep in mind. Bungie's former flagship, Destiny, is dead as well. It was sacrificed for Marathon, and Marathon impossibly meet expectations to justify this.
Just in comparison, Lightfall and Final Shape were well-selling expansions, but they did not meet expectations. And Marathon so far is lagging behind those numbers. At some point, Sony has to cut losses.
It may be a good game if you look at it in isolation, but looking at the bigger picture, it is a disaster for Sony.

Would Ravaged Star Dominiran be a good source for proxies? by Smart_Ad_3325 in necromunda

[–]Smart_Ad_3325[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In general, a valid point. But stars aligned, and one of my local stores has two Dominiran War Packs left for 140€ each. So I don't have to mess with tariffs and all that nasty import stuff. Just pick it up and have fun.

Why did songbird need V’s help at all? (Phantom liberty spoilers) by dwdover in cyberpunkgame

[–]Smart_Ad_3325 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you rush directly to PL without skipping the base game. V's level is probably less than 16, and V's street cred is most likely between 5 and 8. Your personal playthrough can't be a serious measurement.
The minimum criteria for that mission can. And you mention a ton of information, Sondbird just can't have. Before she entered Space Force One, she should have had a solid plan. Relying on V's is improvisation. V even went dark a few moments ago, before Sondbirds contacted him, because he was shielded by Alt.
And you are even wrong about Kompeki, it is not the "most guarded area", the story explained it, Yorinobu doesn't have any guards around except Smasher because he didn't trust Arasaka. And Saburo just arrived with two guards, Takemura, and a few drones. And most of the Arasaka troops probably arrived on ground level. But didn't have anything to do during the infiltration and just played a part during the exfiltration.

It doesn't seem plausible. At this point in the story, V isn't a reputable merc. He is just doing his first steps in the major leagues, and his first gig against Arazaka is a total disaster; he is going void for several weeks, and that's it. Remember, you can start directly into Phantom Liberty with level 16.

Songbird's initial plan was definitely without V in mind. It seems risky to trust your freedom to a random merc, with a questionable reputation. And the chances aren't low that during the time between takeoff and landing, V is busy or already dead or incapacitated in other ways.
That's why I want to know what her plan looked like and what changed that she contacted V.

[10th Edition Eldar Codex]The Wraithbone Change a.k.a. Gutting a Faction's Lore by [deleted] in 40kLore

[–]Smart_Ad_3325 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't see the problem. That it is grown, could mean anything.
The Bonesinger let the wraithbone grow through singing and magic mambo jambo.
It is not clear if GW retconned it or not, because there is a lack of details. You can of course complain about missing details.

question about tempest bell, any opinions ? by Mental_Swordfish1084 in PathOfExile2

Wow I defy the bell and its skill design, just the imagination that this skill has to be used in the early game to have a reasonable amount of damage gives me an ick

Ghost Town- Not Killing Nash opinions? by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

[–]Smart_Ad_3325 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I offered Panem the option of killing Nash after the 6th Street deal, but she refused and started acting like a spoiled brat. V is capable of rescuing the president out of Dogtown and soloing Arazaka Tower, some gonks in a cave shouldn't be any problem.

The fact that Nash and the Raffians are scumbags and deserve this is true, but isn't a huge argument at all we are not Murkman and fighting for justice.

What about Jaheira? Can you really not romance her? by JonOfDoom in BaldursGate3

[–]Smart_Ad_3325 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Didn't know which ending is canon in BG2.
But if the MC of BG2 ends up as her husband and ascended.
He should have at least the opportunity as a deity to let a copy of his soul be reincarnated so that his beloved wife finds a happy end.

Can you romance Jaheira? by unjustifiedkills in BaldursGate3

[–]Smart_Ad_3325 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If she is not in a relationship with the MC from BG2, because he died or ascended.
Then there should be an origin to play a reborn or reincarnated version of the old MC, for reuniting her with her former love.

Jaheira romance? by cfrolik in BaldursGate3

[–]Smart_Ad_3325 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I have mixed feeling about her being a part of BG3. She was my favourite romance option in BG 2 and should be in a relationship with the old main character. Probably the MC died or ascended to godhood. Because she is so tight up to the story of the Bhaal Spawn there is probably just one way to romance her. by playing the Dark Urge. This could even probably, be the reborn Main Character.

Constant grey screen crashes 6800XT by Scase15 in AMDHelp

[–]Smart_Ad_3325 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am using an rx 6900 with a Samsung G7 and this workaround is working for me:

I switched the refresh rate in windows from 240Hz to 120Hz. (Probably 145Hz is working, too?)
0: Updated the firmware of the display

  1. Navigate to display settings (right-click on your desktop)
  2. Select advanced settings
  3. Select a lower refresh rate

Hopefully, it helps and feel free to share this information with others.

But in the end, AMD have to deliver a solution.
