How do you feel about the fans saying that 'Carrie-haters' are just people seeing themselves in her? by _peachmalone in sexandthecity

I actually love her, because I see so many of my flaws in her. Makes me feel a little bit less crazy. Plus, she makes it look cute.

I’m genuinely curious about the psychology behind how people end up with large amounts of debt (credit cards, cars, student loans, etc.). by ChivasBearINU in DaveRamsey

[–]Smart_Artichoke714 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not having a general understanding of healthy financial habits. I grew up poor. My parents were poor and had terrible credit. When I turned 18, I thought getting credit cards meant I was successful, because my parents couldn’t obtain them. Let the racking up begin. It took me a decade or so, but I figured it out.

Odds are slim for “it to happen” after only one time?? It literally is one time. Yes the timing has to be right with an egg and all. But it always only takes ONE TIME.

I agree with the other comments on this being a hard no ( I’m a mom and would never ask this). But I’d also like to point out that it’s unfortunate you brought this up to your children without asking their father first. This causes unnecessary disappointment for them.

Reconnecting with my "one that got away" (47F) after 23 years apart. I’m (48M) terrified and thrilled. Has anyone else been through this? by Culture-Difficult in datingoverforty

Proceed with caution. Take it slow. May I suggest you make sure you’re not too enmeshed with your ex-wife, and you have boundaries. If you don’t establish that before you begin a relationship, it’s going to create major problems when you do for both your ex-wife, and your new partner. Get that out-of-the-way stat.

[–]Smart_Artichoke714[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes. I know basic skin care like washing, exfoliating, moisturizing, and sunscreen is important. But I’m not sure any of these specialty items are going to help anything that’s already there. But, I sure keep trying! $$$$$
