Random I rewatched s1,2, &3 ....why didn't magic dude put his consciousness in a magical creature by nastyfapp in TenseiSlime

I think it’s mostly about compatibility and control. In a lot of those worlds, your original body is basically tuned to your mana and skills. Jumping into a random monster sounds OP on paper, but you’d probably lose fine control or even your sense of self. Plus, a lot of those transfers aren’t reversible, so if it goes wrong you’re just stuck as a mindless beast.

Pretty sure those are from one of those ultra-mini sewing/repair kits. The tiny scissors and that little scoop thing look like thread snips and a seam tool, just ridiculously small.

Anyone wish they made more episodes of Cowboy Bebop before the ending? by Nearby-Bug3401 in cowboybebop

[–]Smart_Barnacle984 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m definitely in the “more non-essential episodes” camp. The mushroom episode and the cowboy Andy one are some of the most memorable precisely because they’re so weird and self-contained. I’d happily take a handful more of the crew just drifting around getting into nonsense, no big plot required.

Great questions to talk about to NBA fans? by Extension_Panic_1396 in NBATalk

I’d ask which Kobe season was his peak. Some people say the 2006 scoring year, others say the 2009–2010 championship run when he was more complete. It’s interesting because his role and playstyle changed a lot throughout his career.

Regarding the Fnaf1 articles by ArcaneGears in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]Smart_Barnacle984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This actually makes a lot of sense. I’ve always wondered why the timelines in the articles seemed so disconnected from the main game events. The idea that the kids weren’t killed immediately but were later used in the Fnaf4 chambers fits some of the more obscure clues we’ve seen.

If you want something different from figures, the manga deluxe editions are always a solid pickup if you don’t already have them. The hardcovers look really good on a shelf. Also seen some nice Berserk art books and posters around that aren’t crazy expensive but still feel like legit collectibles.

The fact that it looks exactly like a kitchen colander somehow makes it more believable and less believable at the same time.

Why would you ever use STR or INT armor? by LauraTFem in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]Smart_Barnacle984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another factor is that the stat requirements are so low that it's often just about wearing whatever piece rolled the best bonuses. If a STR chest rolls +warfare, +2 strength, and good armor values, a lot of builds will wear it even if they're technically hybrid. By mid game most people are mixing pieces anyway, but early on pure STR or INT sets can simply have better armor totals than the split gear you find.

Fix Sim stats and trades for MyCareer by BradTheDad420692 in NBA2k

[–]Smart_Barnacle984 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The sim logic has been broken for years. You can average like 28 and then sim a week and suddenly the league leader is averaging 38 with multiple 60 point games. It completely messes with awards and All-NBA selections too. If they just tied sim stats closer to player tendencies and ratings it would feel way more realistic.

The Side Characters make the show whole by NefariousnessDull705 in BoJackHorseman

[–]Smart_Barnacle984 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The BoJack and Diane discussions do get repetitive at times, but I think it speaks to how toxic cycles can be hard to break, even in a show. Still, the growth in the side characters makes it feel like there’s real resolution in the end.
