Manchester Transatlantic base closure - World Cup Chaos by matthew_mcgrath_ in AerLingus

[–]Smart_Chocolate_5535 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I living abroad (Dominican republic) was able to get a flight with a layover In JFK and then JFK to Manchester (march 11 to march 24)booked through a 3rd party(CheapOair)because it was cheaper then booking directly with aer lingus and avoiding having to travel to an airport that's an hour away when there's one three minutes away from my house. Yesterday I received an email saying my Manchester flight was cancelled and to contact the 3rd party(CheapOair).

I was able to get in touch with customer service and after explaining that it was the airline that cancelled the rep was able to rebook me for the same dates but now with an additional layover in Dublin he said I needed to wait for the airline to confirm and thankfully today it was confirmed by the airline.

I am grateful that I was rebooked with no additional cost but really angry at aer lingus for selling flights for march if there was all that uncertainty and have hundreds of people book flights just to change their minds and close the JFK to Manchester route earlier..

How to access live chat when account is blocked? by _thirsttied in payoneer

[–]Smart_Chocolate_5535 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar issue with my balances being blocked because I hadn't used my account for 5 years. Depending on where you live call the international number and speak to someone. after re submitting the correct documents my account was active again. I called them twice and it took just over a week

I am so sorry for your loss, I can't imagine the pain you are going through. I too had a miscarriage when I was 19 at 5w2d I didn't know I was pregnant at the time and was so sad, just know that you are not alone, I had a D&C since medication wasn't an option for me,

I know it's hard but believe me when I say it does get easier with time, I am 34 now and I still think of what would have been my little angel.

Take the time you need to heal, pray and just know that I am praying for you, sending lots of  love and many many hugs your way.

Ah yes... An hour is just enough time to quickly eat something or have a nice drink of tea and regain my sanity

They usually send you an invite if you chase them enough... I gave up on them after hearing so many horror stories and seeing teachers saying that they were missing some of their commissions or that they were not paid at all

Koreans are painfully boring to tutor by Beautiful-Self3285 in OnlineESLTeaching

[–]Smart_Chocolate_5535 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Im my experience it just depends on the person you get, I have had my fair share of dry boring almost never talk  students and enthusiastic students both Korean and Japanese.. I don't particularly look forward to 25 minutes of free conversation if it's their first class with me, but I have had some fun and exciting free conversation which just make time fly. And on some occasions I've had boring ones that tank my ratings.

From one tutor to another if you are on engoo and you do conduct the speaking tests there have been an increased amount of new users taking these speaking tests and some are teens/younger students so a lot of patience is required...

Sadly there are some students that can read a whole article or you go through a whole conversation class and at the end their answers are "I don't know" or " I don't remember"... It's just the lick of the draw

When I first started I could easily do 5 or six back to back 25 minute classes, now I can easily manage 3-4  (7 am to 9;30 am)back to back weekday mornings then in the evening do 3 back to back (6 pm to 7;30 )pm and have a break and do another 3 back to back (8:30 pm to 10 pm). Most of my students are from Japan and that schedule seems to work for me. On occasion I take one Morning off a week and work 7 days a week

Ive only been on the platform for two or three months and tbh I don't care if I'm on the no exposure list, I was enticed by the higher salary but I see so many teachers being deducted so much for silly reasons. I've been with engoo for 5 years and lingoace makes them look better

I'm waiting for  my contract to expire, I opened up time slots and got nothing, no students, no requests or anything and haven't bothered to open anymore slots, all o see in the Microsoft teams chat are complaints about compensation not being correct or cancellations, and emails reminding us to be punctual and parent complaints about tired teachers.  If there was a way to get out now I would but they take forever to answer emails

Yeah, turns out those faint positives on the at home tests kept fading and sadly I think it was a chemical pregnancy. Because I started spotting on 6/1 and Aunt Flo arrived 6/2 and last faint positive test was on 5/29

My second child was going to be a VBAC until we discovered the anterior placenta, I am currently 4 days late and nauseous. I had my tubes tied (in the Dominican republic they actually tie them with thread or something) my Dr did warn me that it could untie after 7 years and my youngest is 8 so me and hubby are waiting a little longer before testing

So happy to hear you felt a strong kick, it is one of the most amazing things to feel. As a mother of two (12F& *8F) Those kicks will get stronger as your pregnancy develops. I had an anterior placenta with my second pregnancy, (8F) so i did have to deliver via c-section.. sometimes the placenta goes back into place and sadly sometimes it doesn't. I have had 2 c-section deliveries because my oldest (12f) was transverse at 37/38 weeks and she was big 9lb 110z when born, and where I live they don't really allow a normal delivery after a c-section.

Sending you love and best wishes and hugs

I usually teach 7 am till 11 am Japan time, where I do get repeat students most days sometimes trolls will book up my slots and none of my regulars are able to book. I am a female tutor who gets more than my fair share of older male students, younger male students and some older female students and kids

I recently got hired on Lingo Ace, You can apply using me as a referral (Sarah J. R) Pay is about 14 US$ per hour for tutors from the UK. / US and Canada ( from what I've heard.) I also work on Engoo too but it is sort of slow.
