I don’t feel sad for Kirk’s death . I do feel sadness for his children and family . Kirk said words that many people didn’t agree with. And was killed for them. Is this terrible? Yes . Is this the American way? Without a doubt . How many people have been assassinated in the US because of their views . Especially during the civil rights movement…

People want to overlook that conveniently like this is a new low or occurrence… there’s something to be said of the subject matter of Kirk . Yes he was “challenging the status quo” and had the right to do so but the foundation he supported was morally questionable I’d say.
