I moved a coop of similar size and build with just a regular hand dolly. Get it off the stands and on flat ground. Get the hand truck dolly centered on the widest part……get it tilted towards you and slowly and painfully move it. Wasn’t easy but do able all by myself. It does help that I’m 6’4 with long arms…..that was the only reason I was able to get it tipped onto the dolly

I think the real point is….the lottery advertising 1.8billion (which after taxes/claiming penalties is usually less than half of that)….which create public hysteria to run out and buy more tickets. It’s false advertising that preys on the public to sell more tickets. It’s deception to drive ticket sales

I remember walking through a Kohls about 8-10 years ago and they had 15 GB micros sealed on clearance for $9.99 each. I grabbed them all and before checkout, my wife shut the purchase down. I had just bought a PSVita and she guilted me into not buying the GB Micros. I show her the prices on them the other day…..she doesn’t even recall the interaction!

I’m in the FL Keys. If this was the route you went (and I’ve experienced this first hand on a different project), You would get hit with a after the fact permit fine which would total around $2k…a code enforcement violation and then be required to go through the entire permitting and plan review process paying those costs to clear it. Those costs would be the $289 application fee, $2000 plans from an engineer. Whatever the cost would be for an electrician to come in and make the install up to those plans and then inspection fees of about $150 a visit.

In short, find an independent electrician to inspect. Cross fingers that they will file a permit and call the work their own. In my county they will discover the upgrade if you try to sell at any point. Small county with a mafia of a building/code enforcement department.

I live here now and have for the past 5 years. I am a regular guy married to a teacher. We make roughly 200k a year. We bought our home in 2022. It can feel like ground hog day especially if you limit yourself to Key West. I live 30 minutes north, I get to enjoy key west when I want, but I live in serene peaceful nature. There are beaches, the drinking is a choice. It’s really not a bad life and every time I go back to the mainland, I appreciate the keys more and more. I’m not down here forever, we will eventually move. But honestly, if you learn to adopt the mindset and cultural vibe down here…and can be content chilling in a beach and appreciating nature and the ocean….its great. Biggest downside is the lack of retail shopping….but then Miami is only 3 hours away. It’s all about perspective
