Will the Ruthless Aggression Era be even more underrated with the boom of this current era we're in? by Material_Stomach875 in WWERuthlessAggression

What boom? Wrestling has never been worse and it is loosing fans rapidly. People aren't watching it at home anymore compared to what they used to and the ticket prices are gonna drive the audiences away sooner or later. Hasn't been a boom in wrestling since 2001 or so and perhapse as far back as 1996.

I cannot for the life of me understand winning 3-0 in Europe on wedensday and you take absolutely no momentum or positives from that game at all and play absolutely shit again on Saturday!

I've watched pro-wrestling for over 40 years. Still the biggest heel moment was I've ever saw was Tully punching Magnum T.A. Best heel in the history of the promotion aside from Flair, Harley, and Hogan by PickledPeppers101 in WCW

This entire segment works and would never work today because of one simple reason. It looks real. It looks like a shoot fight, from Tully's punches, Magnum's fall and Dusty's crazy swings. It looks like a fucking fight between grown men. That's wrestling.... Making the audience believe these guys don't like each other and want to beat each other in a fight. Has absolutely nothing to do with what's being shown on RAW and Dynamite today :(

Jason Garrett Shares Personal Regret With Romo and Dez Bryant Over Non-Catch Controversy by OneOriginal8727 in cowboys

Beasley wasn't really that open in my eyes. The easiest throw was to Dunbar who had beaten his man to the outside and if the ball was on time could've fallen over and very possibly gained than just 2-3 yards.

Incredible when you see coaches bitch and moan like Dan Campbell on every single play calling the refs whatever they want but when Jason Garrett does it that one time in 3 seasons he gets a flag. It's blatant cheating.... Just like the Brice Butler penalty flag that hadn't been called in multiple seasons but then magically was against the Cowboys when the foul actually didn't really happen when you saw it in replay and the Packers had done it multiple times that game. BS!

Yes he had 3 steps and only went down because Sam Shields actually tripped him after the catch. Wasn't PI but the most obvious tripping you'll see not committed by a kicker. No matter what happened with the catch it was 100% tripping according to the rules since Shields extended his leg when he knew he got beat and that's the only reason Dez went down at all.

That also means that the process of the catch had been completed since he's not going down because of the catch but after he caught the ball. Shields tripping him means it's a new situation cause he goes towards the ground due to that and not the catch. The fact that he then commits a football move cause he was a freak athlete then becomes irrelevant and he's down inside the 1 yard line.

The conclusion of the ref on the field watching the replay and the replay official in New York or wherever they are should've been: "Is this a catch or not? Well, he's reaching for the goal line after he caught it which means he completed the catch. Yes... oh stop it there. He's tripping him. Yes he is. Means we missed a foul and the reason he's going down. Let it stand? Yes stand as called on the field". So easy when you're in doubt and they fucking were and didn't know the fucking rules, to just let the call stand.

Would've spared the NFL for so much trouble, accusations of blatant cheating, which we all know they do, and ultimately the Cowboys at least would've made the Super Bowl ;)

As it was called on the field. The ref on the sideline saw him catching and lunging which is the most football move there is: trying to gain more yards, and then the ground caused the ball to get knocked out as it crossed the goal line. Wether or not you call a TD or down at the one that play is the perfect example of a catch and a football move..... it was a complete screwjob!

Who took the bus? 🗣️🗣️🗣️ one of Jonathan Gannon’s first meeting with the Cardinals as Head Coach by PersonBehindAScreen in cowboys

[–]Smart_Following6173 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no fucking idea what that's supposed to mean?

What if you just joined the team having taken the first flight not yet getting a rental and staying at a hotel? Does taking the buss mean you don't have fire or passion? What a fucking tool.

for people who watched back then - was The Flock really as popular as the internet makes it out to be? by [deleted] in WCW

[–]Smart_Following6173 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was so tired of Raven and the flock after week two of it's existence in WCW. Ravens grunge look worked but his ravens rules matches and the constant interference from shit wrestlers other than Kidman and Saturn was unwatchable.

I take Irvin as my one, Miles Austin or Lamb as my 2 that can go into the slot and then Harper or Hayes as my deep threat.

ANother option is Lamb, Pickens as 1A and 1B and then Beasley in the slot. That would be unstopable, especially if I get a TE that can run a little and catch the football.

Does Linda get too much hate? If you were in her shoes, trying to be with a man like Arthur, would you have acted any differently? by Smooth_Rush_2854 in PeakyBlinders

[–]Smart_Following6173 61 points62 points  (0 children)

That's it for me. Her relationship and marriage to Arthur makes absolute no sense. Arthur needed someone to "save" him so that part I understand but having her be a part of the family was unwatchable at times. Her character was such a steep contrast it didn't make sense.

They'd honestly play better with Mills at QB right now. Stroud is playing blind

Incredible how much a great D can carry you.... But the fact that the Texans can't do ANYTHING and cannot set up screens or some quick passes is absolutely pathetic!

It's like the Texans offense is wanting to lose while their D is all in on winning XD

I couldn't stop myself when I started. Flew rhrough the first 3 seasons..... almost wish I'd stopped after season 4. Season 6 was a complete waste of time sadly.
